This is Rosa Parks. She was born on February 4, 1913 in Tuskegee, Alabama and died on October 24, 2005 in Detroit, Michigan.

Rosa Parks was called the "Mother of freedom" because she was the first "Black" person to see through the court and get her point across. Rosa Parks went to the Highlanders Folk School, where they trained people to treat each other equally, not by their skin tones. Sadly, because of her act to treat others equally, Rosa Parks was fired from her job as a seamstress at a local department store.

In the end, Rosa Parks is important because she was the strongest one to rebel against the law of black people being less important than white people and show others that if we go up against things that aren't fair, we can make a difference.
