Isabella looked down at her watch, it was 4.05pm. Noah Scott was meant to arrive at her house at 4.00pm. Isabella went down to make herself a sandwich figuring he was probably running late. She would give him some time before she just assumed that he decided not to show up. He had texted her the previous night telling her that it was Npah Scott from Ridgedale high school, that he was told to text this number for Isabella from the tuition scheme and that he would be coming to her house at 4pm. Isabella thought that he had gotten straight to the point and even though he had decided the details of the sessions on his own, she hadn't minded as she was free and he had actually contacted her, so she had texted him her address and told him she would see him the next day. He didn't reply.
Just as she had finished assembling a couple of sandwiches the doorbell rang. Isabella walked to the front door and as she opened the door, she was taken aback by the boy standing before her. It shouldn't have surprised her because her uncle had mentioned that Noah Scott had girls falling at his feet but Isabella was still taken aback at how handsome Noah Scott was. He had brown hair that was cut short, his face seemed perfectly symmetrical with a straight nose and strong cheekbones and jawline. He was tanned and had a small beauty spot just above his lips. Isabella could tell that he was well built as his clothes were fitted snugly against him. What struck her was his eyes, they were a deep chocolate brown but they were shuttered, as if he had his guard up.
"It's nice to finally meet you, I'm Isabella Smith, but everyone calls me Izzy," she told him as she extended her hand.
"Noah," was all he replied back dismissing her hand.
"Right Noah, come inside. I'll take you through to the kitchen. I've made some chicken salad sandwiches so help yourself, then we can go up to my bedroom and start on the work." Isabella didn't think that Noah would actually eat so she was pleasantly surprised when he took two pieces and began to eat. "Would you like a drink? We have coke, 7up, lemonade, water, juice," she listed of.
"A coke please," he told her and as Isabella set down the can next to him he spoke up again. "I'm sorry I was late, I walked here and I've not been to this part of town before so it took me a while before I found the right house."
Isabella blinked, Noah's voice was rich and warm which was a stark contrast to his shuttered eyes. "Oh that's okay, you should have given me a call and I would have come and collected you, or we could have met at your house, I have a car so I could just drive," Before she even finished her sentence, Noah interjected, "No, we'll carry on meeting here, I'm fine walking." Isabella shrugged her shoulders, asked him which subject he wanted to work on, and they both began to work. When the scheduled hour had passed, Noah packed his bags and Isabella walked him out."Thanks, I'll be here at the same time tomorrow."
Isabella nodded, "Ring me if you get lost again, I'll direct you," she looked at him and added, "You pick up on things really well, so you're making tutoring easy for me, my uncle told me you were smart but he was talking about maths." Isabella looked at Noah and she swore she saw a the right side of his lips lift ever so slightly, but he just shrugged and with that he left.
