I want you to understand that abuse is seen everywhere. It is not only directed at children, and it does not always take the form of physical hitting. Abuse can occur in several ways other than just physical- sexual, verbal, emotional, and neglect. While My Name is Sam is a story of a child being physically and emotionally abused, just remember that this is not the only way abuse happens. Abuse can happen to anyone in any shape or form.
