Fear The Night (On Hold)

Chapter 2

I didn't realize how cold I was, until I had set foot into the castle. My whole body went numb the moment my body started to warm up, it was like I couldn't feel my body anymore. But somehow it was the best feeling after spending the best morning in the snow at the town.

All my clothes were damp from the snow we have been playing in and the smell of the delicious hot chocolate still lingers in my nose. My cheeks and nose were flustered from the cold outside. And there was the biggest smile on my face, this morning I had the best time of my life and I shared it together with Colin. I couldn't ask for more.

I may sound very selfish and cruel, but I want Colin to stay by my side for my whole life. I simply just can't live without him, I need him in my life. He makes me feel normal and special at the same time. He makes me feel like I can achieve anything if he is by my side.

"This was the most wonderful and enjoying morning of my life. Thank you, Cole, I was starting to feel down but you cheered me up, like you always do. Even though my surrounding were cold, you and the kids made me feel so warm on the inside." I was directly looking into his eyes. I could start forever in those grey eyes. His eyes had the joyful glint in them, a smile spread on his face and nearly went from cheek to cheek.

"You know, the strangest part is, that I was feeling the same way and you brought the joy back into my day. I will cherish this day forever in my memory." If we weren't in the castle already I would have jumped on him, to hug him, to comfort him. This will be the guilt and regret I have to life with for the rest of my life and I deserve it, I own this to Colin. Even though he would disagree with me on this part.

We both went up to our rooms to change our clothes. Colin had to change, because he needed to wear different clothes for the training he would be doing after lunch. My clothes were fine for my meeting with mother for the last details for the wedding, the only problem was that my dress was damp and had creases all over it. If I were to meet mother like this I would get scold, big time.

After we got changed we went to the diner room of lunch. Even though my family is always busy with the tasks that the royal family has, we always try to eat together, like a sort of normal family. That way we still get to see each other on regular base.

After lunch mother and I went to the biggest ball room of the castle, convenient enough there are two ball rooms in the castle. So one for the ceremony and one for the reception. Everything is already set up for the wedding. It is just that we have to go over the whole set up, to see if we really aren't missing anything.

The biggest room is for the reception, where diner will be served for the guest and after that, the room will be prepared for some traditional dancing. Only the 'important' of the 7 countries of this world would come to the wedding, or they might send a representor from themselves. All the countries maintain their communications very well. So that if the time comes that we need each other, we can react as quickly as possible.

The whole set up for the dinner is ready. The tables are placed against each other with the sides and it has a pure white blanket over it, with at the edges both prince Henric's and my name embroidered in green. It literally says 'Just Married! Prince Henric (III) von Tric and Princess Cathine Beseela.' The one who made those must hate our names right now, as they have been embroidered many and many more time on the table blanket.

By the entrance of the ball room are two big vases on each side, with in them a bouquet of white flowers. The seeds of these flowers are exported from Floridina and the real flowers are breaded here. Floridina is surrounded by all species of flowers, the rarest one are to be found there. As a small gift and to also show that Prince Henric is from Floridina, they had sent us some beautiful white flower seeds, so they could be a part of the wedding.
