Their Little Charade

"What did you just say?" Ha Jin asked, confusion all over his face

"It's over" she stated for the second time. Her things are packed and she's ready to go to Busan, she's just waiting for Yonghwa to come. It's already 6:30 pm, he said he'd be here by 7. He said they should arrive late to convince everyone that they really eloped.

"B-but... what did I do?" her boyfriend that she exchanged for money asked frantically

"Nothing... just... don't ask... Let's just break up" She replied

"No! I'm not breaking up with you!" Ha Jin said, his voice an octave higher "What do you take me for? I'm not like some toy that you'd throw after you're done with."

"It's not like that" Seohyun said "It's just that, it's going to be unfair for you if we continue this relationship, oppa. You don't deserve someone like me, I had s*x with my married boss" she continued

Ha jin's jaw dropped "You made love with your boss?! What the..... he had fungus all over his body!"

"That's why you deserve someone better. I have been treating myself for fungal infection now. I was blinded by money. I am not good enough for you now. I'm sorry" she replied

"No, you're lying..."

"Oppa, why would I lie to you? I just don't want your reputation to be scalded because of me. I want you to move on and find someone new, please.."

Ha Jin stared at her "If I find out your lying to me and broke up with me because you have someone else.... you're going to have it, Seo Joo Hyun" he threatened

"Yes. Do it. Investigate all you want. I was just worried about your welfare"

"You know what I hated the most right? When I'm fooled." Ha Jin stared at her, she can sense the anger in his eyes before he went out of her apartment.

5 minutes after Ha Jin's car left, Yonghwa has arrived.

"Are you ready?" he asked

"Yes, I packed last night. My suitcase is inside the room, can you get it?" she said and without a word Yonghwa got inside the house and took her suitcase

Before they left, she wrote a note for her friend that was sharing the apartment with her to prevent her from worrying for she does not know when she'd be back.

Without knowing, they are already down the road, on their way to Busan, as far as she knew it's 4 to 5 hour drive from Seoul to Busan depending on traffic.

"Have you gone over our script for this charade?" Yonghwa asked

"I have, I don't want to make a fool of ourselves if they'd catch on what's the real score between us" she replied "How about you?"

"Your parents wanted you to marry their friend's son, and you don't want to, of course because you are in love with me and I also felt the same, that's why I decided to eloped with you." He stated

"Very good." Seohyun nodded "And if your aunts are going to ask me something, or anything at all, just nod, and agree with me, okay? Trust me." She smiled at him

"Yes ma'am" he replied, he looked at her briefly and smiled. "I'm sure, Grandpa will marry us as soon as possible."
