Chapter 6: Secrets

Chapter 6!!!

His touch and warm body seemed to relax Mikasa. She truly missed this. His warm touch. His lightly muscled arms. (Which have gotten more muscled from the angered training he had done) All enough to relax a person, Mikasa to be exact. She softly closed her eyes and passed out, still in Eren's arms.

Blinking. Wooden ceiling. Warm hands. And a sweet aroma of food gently placed beside her. It didn't take her a while to realize that she was in the Survey Corps Infirmary, again. She sat up and looked down at her wrists.

"New bandages."

Just as she thought. She cut too deeply. She bled out, again. She moved her right hand to get used to the pain, then wanting to take her left hand and do the same. She then realize she couldn't. She looks towards her left hand seeing a hand intertwined with it.

"Eren?" She said softly, not wanting to waking up the sleeping chocolate bush of hair next to her. His head resting on the edge of the bed and both hands intertwined with her left one. She sighs softly seeing Eren safe and relaxed or sleeping for that matter.

How long has she been out?

A couple of hours
One?
Two?
Days?
Months?

It surely hasn't been long.

Hopefully.

The next expedition will be arriving soon and she is not prepared. Training? Nope.
3DMG practice? Nope.
She isn't prepared. And she can't be as long as there are bandages around her wrist. Either way, Eren wouldn't have let her anyway.

The Door creaks, footsteps can lightly be heard as two people walk in. A blonde haired male and a h/c haired (female/male), Armin and Y/N. There eyes land on Eren, then on Mikasa.

"Feeling better?" Y/N asked, smiling lightly. Mikasa nods looks over at Eren and smiles. "How long have I been out for?"

"Just two hours."

She nodded. Eren started to move slightly. He woke up. Rubbed his eyes a little then looked at Mikasa. "Oh, Mikasa you're awake." Eren said smiling.

His eyes are red and puffy.
His his face is stained with tears.
He's been crying.

"Eren, have you been.. crying?"

(A/n: Remember this line from the first episode?)

He quickly wiped the tears away.
"N-no!" He stuttered, looking down. Mikasa just giggled. She pinched his cheeks. "Not manly anymore, huh Eren?" She remarked making Eren's cheeks red. "N-no!"

He looked away not wanting Mikasa to look at him blushing. He was embarrassed. The two at the back laughed. (As they were still there and never left.) "H-hey!" Eren stuttered again.

"Aww, poor Eren," Y/N says, giggling. "Anyways," Armin says. "Let's eat! We've been waiting for you to wake up so we could all eat together like we normally do." They pulled up a chair and grabbed a tray and started eating.

Their lunch was quickly finished. Armin had gone to put the trays away while the rest talked.

"Yea, I mean it's great and all how we have these new weapons and all but won't that make it harder, I mean it's all about aim and if you don't aim properly that's one wasted, we don't have a lot you know?" Y/N said. Eren and Mikasa nodded.

Suddenly the door opened. "Oi, brats." Everyone turned their attention towards the door, seeing Levi walk through it. "Training will start soon. Everyone go, but Ackerman."

The two got up and went out the door. The closed and Levi looked at Mikasa. She sat up, if Levi wanted to have a chat with her it probably about something important.

"Do you recall the 'day off' you brats had?" Levi started.

She nodded.

"Well the reason why we had that surprise 'day off' was because Erwin and I had a chat, along with Hanji, and we have planned a secret expedition. Ofcourse, I had denied it but it he insisted. Some say it's suicide and I know with your condition you may not accept and I completely I understand but we need you. As well as Y/n. And Hanji is picking two people as well."

"I'll do it." Mikasa said, her voice emotionless.

"We leave tomorrow night. Don't tell Jaeger or Arlert."

She nodded, saluting to her Corporal.

Levi headed towards the door and opened it but stopped.

"Oh and Ackerman."

"Yes, Corporal?"

"Relax. You'll need it, brat."
