Demetria's pov
When I walked into the room they had Derek tied down to the bed so he would stop jerking around. They eventually untied him but he started to scream again but I noticed he was screaming Mt name like he wanted to see me "Please tell me your his niece" The nurse said frightened "yes I am" I said "well he's been doing this since he got here so cane you go talk to him so he can calm down because he'll be ok but don't want him to hurt himself" she said walking to the door "Ok I will thanks" I said as she closed the door. I walked over to Derek "Uncle it's Ok I'm here" I said but he kept screaming and kicking then he accidentally kicked me in the stomach "Damn it Derek" I yelled then he stopped kicking "Demetria is that you?" He said "Yeah" I said walking to the bathroom I didn't even hear him get up I just saw him appear behind me and he wrapped his arms around me " did I do this' he said looking at my stomach and legs "the stomach yes but my legs no" I said rubbing my stomach "I'm sorry baby girl I really am I never met for any of this to happen" He said "I know you're sorry Derek but it's also my fault for not hearing y'all out" I said "I love you Nice I really do" he said and I knew he meant it "I love you more Uncle" I said and meant it too. When we walked out of the bathroom the nurses where standing in the door way "Well Mr. Couture you all set to leave" The nurse said walking out of the door so Derek got dressed and got me a ice pack for my stomach even though I told him I didn't need one. When we got to the waiting room everyone was there and they all hugged us then we went back home to have some fun. "You guys have fun I'm gonna turn in early" Andrew said which I found odd "guys I'll be back" I said and everyone nodded. I walked upstairs to Andrew's room "Dad are you ok?" I asked "No I lost the most important thing and almost lost another" He said and I knew he was talking about Derek and I "You know that you never lost me right" I said letting a tear slip I really hate it when he's like this "Then why won't you talk to me or you'd short answer me or roll your eyes like I know I'm not the best father in the world but I'm new to this ok this isn't normal to he like it is to Derek and I'm sorry that I hurt you I really am." He said putting g his hands to his face "Andrew I was being petty and I'm sorry I should've listened to what you had to say I shouldn't have rolled my eyes or short answer you but I'm new to this to Andrew I've never actually had a family to care for me like y'all do so I'm not use to all of the attention and you know what Andrew you are the best thing that ever happened to me I could ask for a better dad and best friend and honestly Andrew Clifton Fontenot you saved me because if you didn't adopt me I don't think I'd live to see today so yeah we're both new at this but we can get through this together" I said crying. Andrew got up and walked over and hugged me "We'll get through this together" he said holding me crying as well. Afterwards we went back downstairs to have fun with everyone and I felt like all the weight has been lifted off of me.....
