*Jacobs POV*

Wow.

She looked stunning.

I know, I know, she really wasn't dressed up but she still looked amazing.

I've been crushing on her since we met. But I never had the guts to ask her out. She probably thought nothing more of me than a friend.

I was gonna take her to a little bakery that she loved. Then I planed on taking her to the beach right by us.

We arrived at the small bakery and sat down at a booth. We both ordered a blueberry scone.

We talked and laughed and really enjoyed ourselves. I loved seeing her smile and her being so happy.

"You ready?" I asked her. She nodded her head and we left the bakery. She turned towards the car but noticed I wasn't following her.
"Jake. Where are you going?" Riley asked confused.
"Its Santa Cruz and you thought we weren't going to the beach?" I said. She smiled that beautiful smile of hers and jogged to catch up with me.

We walked bare along the beach holding our shoes. I looked at her and she put her shoes, beanie and her flanel on the sand and wadded in the water.
I decided to get in with her.

*Riley's POV*

I looked over my shoulder and Jake was getting in the water too. I smiled. I really liked him.
I playfully splashed him. He laughed and splashed me back.

We finally got out of the cool Santa Cruz water, completely soaked. I gave him a mischievous smiled and started running down the beach.
"You'll never catch me!" I laughed. I kept running, not looking back.

I finally slowed down, out of breath.I looked around but I couldn't find Jake.
"Jake? Jacob?" Just as I said that I felt two muscular arms wrap around my waist. I let out a high pitch scream. I looked over my shoulder and I saw Jake with a smile on his face. He gave me a evil smile and wadded in the water. He held me up like he was about to throw me in the ocean.
"Jacob Conner Bailey, I swear!" I said struggling to escape his grasp even though I didnt want him to let go. He laughed and placed me down on the warm sand and sat down next to me. I rested my head on his shoulder and he rested his head on mine as we watched the moon rise, looking like it was resting on the ocean.
