"Nice going there with that knife, Daichi" I said, as we walked into the Town of Beginnings "Yeah, I even got some levels off of it!" He said. "I got some too party exp is shared remember" I told him.

"So what level are you now?" He asked me "I'm level five now, you?" I said. "You're level five already?! I'm only level three!!" "Well to be fair I did have more kills in the field just then, you didn't finish off anything because of those knives." "They did save you from that giant boar back there didn't they?" "Well... Yeah I guess, yet you didn't kill it with it" I gave him a grin. "Oh shut up already!" Daichi laughed as we walked down the streets of the Town of Beginnings.

We booked a room in the local inn. We decided to sleep in the same room to save some money because we were trying to save up money. "We should get some rest, and go out early so the other players won't farm all the good spots. "That'll be 20 col please." The NPC at the desk said. I handed her the col. "Tomorrow night's on you!" I told Daichi. We went upstairs to our room, and we went to bed.

We set our alarms at 5 AM, and we went off to farm some more boars. Nothing really interesting happened, and we decided to head back early in the afternoon, after we farmed up our favorite spots. We farmed for about a week, and we heard rumors that players were starting to gather up to locate the dungeon and clear the first floor. A day after those rumors were spread amongst the players, a notice was put on the notice board that everyone who wants to fight on the front lines should enlist for a special meeting later that week. Daichi and I signed ourselves up for this, and we went to look for the dungeon.

As we walked into the forest on our way back to the Town of Beginnings, we smelled fish being cooked, and we went to check it out. We found a clearance in the woods, and we saw a fire burning with fish being grilled over the fire. We also saw a girl fishing a little bit away from the fire. She was very pale, with straight, blonde hair, reaching to her shoulders. She was very short and thin. When she turned around, I noticed her eyes were bright blue.

She turned around and jumped up when she saw us, and I realised she was using weapons called claws. Claws are not a preferred weapon in the community, because you have to come in real close to the enemies to attack them leaving you very vulnerable. "Hey!!!" She shouted. "Don't you dare steal any of my fish!!" She readied her claws. "Whoa there take it easy! We're not here to steal your fish or to harm you!" Daichi said. "We just smelled fish and decided to check it out..." "Well... Who are you guys then?" She asked. "My name is Robin, and that over there is my friend Daichi" I told her. "Who're you?" I asked her. "My name is Ruyasu! Pleased to meet you!" She said.

We sat around the fire a bit and Ruyasu offered us some of her fish. So far food in this world didn't taste like anything, but Ruyasu's fish tasted delicious. "Ruyasu how did you get this fish to taste so delicious?!" Daichi asked. "Well, an important part in this is my cooking skill. Foods you buy from NPC's are supplied by the system, so made without actual ingredients or cooking skills, food made by players are made with 'real' ingredients and cooking skill, which makes it taste so much better. That's why I'm working on my cooking skill now." She said. "So... basically, you're a chef?" I asked. "That's right!" She said. "Do you also plan on trying to clear the game or will you just hang back and try to enjoy?" I asked "Well, they'll probably need plenty of food on the front lines, so yeah, I did enlist. Why, are you two going to take on the dungeon?" She asked. "Well," I said "I made myself a promise to beat this game back when I bought it, and I am not planning to go back on that promise. Also, when Kayaba Akihiko told us he, the game master, locked us in this game, once we realised what had happened, most of us tried to fight it, rebel against the system. Which is still kind of what we're doing now, trying to clear the game and all." I said. "And someone once told me this: When the sword of rebellion is drawn, the sheath should be thrown away."
