Chapter 18

(Y/n) immediately tensed as she felt his arm wrap around her waist, the cold hand on her hip sending chills across her skin as she fought back the rising fears in the back of her mind. "I see.." She muttered softly, not wanting to pry into his past too deeply. He would tell her on his own time, as she did with him. "Do you.. Do you think.. I'll ever get better?" She questioned him, her worried blue gaze turning up to him. "With you.. Just touching me.. O-or kissing me.. Or any of it? Or.. Am I stuck being afraid.. Forever?"
"I believe eventually you will." He gazed back at the (h/c) girl and softly smiled. "Eventually, you would have to let go of the past and move on. At least, that's what I've learned..."
"Will.. Will you help me?" (Y/n) questioned him, as it was obvious she didn't think she would be able to make such a drastic feat on her own. "H-how?" She questioned him again, absentmindedly gripping onto his shirt. Was he right? Would it really be possible to put all of the torture her father forced her to endure behind her?
"Do I even have to answer that?" He let out a small chuckle. "I'll help you...By loving you with all my soul and never letting you go for all entirety of course." He smiled at her and cupped her face then slowly gave (y/n) a soft, passionate kiss on her lips while caressing her hair. Blush quickly spread over (y/n) cheeks from his words, her body instantly freezing in place as his lips pressed against hers.
"Nn- Mmph~" She whimpered softly against his lips, pushing against his chest protest for a few seconds before her heart seemed to force her body to relax. Her hands were still shaking, her fear still present, but after a few moments, her lips slowly began to move against his. During the kiss, on accident, his fangs pierced (y/n's) lips slightly, letting a little blood trickle down her lips. Ruki licked the blood off of her lips until the bleeding had stopped. Then he pulled away and smiled softly while caressing her face. He put his forehead against hers. (Y/n) winced a small bit as his fang pierced her lip, an involuntary shiver shooting through her as his tongue caressed her skin until it finally stopped. She quickly looked away from him when he pulled away, wiping away the small bits of his spit off of her lips. "Y-you.. Might not like everything.. Once you get past.. J-just kissing me. I'm.. Damaged goods."
"Silly... Don't think that way." Ruki brushed (y/n's) hair out of her face and smiled. "It doesn't matter, I will be sure to cherish every single part of you, No matter what. " He said to her softly, his hands still cupping her face gently. The bell for the next class rung throughout the school. His words truly surprised (y/n), even if he continued to do so with his heart felt words. "R-Ruki-sama.." She mumbled softly, right as the bell rung for the next class. She looked away from him for a moment, a small pout appearing over her lips. "D-do we have to go? I didn't like it.. Having to be away from you like.. It.. It was scary.. Th-there are.. So many of them, and.. They all just stare at me, a-and that red haired vampire from before.. He.. He tried to-" She rambled on a bit, her usual shy, fearful tendencies showing through plainly around the black haired vampire that had claimed her heart. Ruki saw a piece of paper sticking out of her skirt pocket, it was her schedule, he took it out of her pocket and looked at it, seeing that she had the same classes with him the rest of the day.
"Hmm, seems like you have the same classes with me for the rest of the day." He folded the schedule and smiled. Then he grabbed her his uneaten lunch and her hand. "Come on, we will walk to class together. He got up and pulled her up with him and dragged her along the school halls. First he went to his Locker to put his lunch away. Then he grabbed his things for class and let (y/n) grab her things as well. Afterwards he held her hand and they walked off to their next class, trying to avoid those pure bloods again.
