The fear in Kathryn's eyes was unexplainable. Suddenly her hair colour shifted from blonde to gray. „Yo-your hair!"
The man was peacing in front of us, sliding his hand through his dark brow hair. „I knew this would happen. I should've been more careful. What have I done."
Shifting my gaze back on Kathryn, I saw her face radiate fear and confusion.
„Da-aisy," I said nearly choking, „and that's Kathryn."
"I'm Drew. And this," he pointed to window, " is world destruction," he replied.
"What have I done?" Kathryn whispered in small voice still examining her hair colour.
I looked up to Drew, hoping he had an answer.
He sighed and went to the door. I feared he might leave us here in obscurity, but he just locked the door and closed the blinds.
"Follow me," he didn't even give us a glance as he stalked off towards the tallest shelf.
I expected a bookcase-door kind of thing, but Drew pushed it away from the wall to reveal hidden door that nearly looked like the wall. He opened it and disappeared. Kathryn slowly followed. I watched the scene unfold in front of me as if I was glued to the ground. My legs refused to move.
Kathryn yelled at me: "Let's go!" I was stuck. I couldn't process any more news. My mind couldn't wrap around the things happening. "Drew! She won't move!"
Drew rushed out of the tunnel and flaunted his hands in front of me: "She's in shock. It's normal. I'll take her. Go inside." He lifted me up as if I weighed nothing and brought me into the dark tunnel, not forgetting to close the door behind him.
We walked what seemed into nowhere. Soon I found myself in a strange room. Obviously there weren't windows in the basement, dim lights were on. I could barely make out my surroundings. To the left there were two double beds, to the right there was a large table and another door. In front of us there was a kitchenette, and the middle of the room held a circle of armchairs. I was placed onto one of them.
"You're probably wondering what is happening.." he dropped into a seat next to me.
Kathryn sat on the other side of me: "Are youokay?" She touched my knee and suddenly my vision was turned red. Kathrynstarted shouting, but it sounded like she was too far away from me to hear her.
