"Life's a game, all you have to do, is know how to play it " - Anonymous

Once upon a time... No, wait. That's so cliché. I don't really know how to write a story. This would be the first time I do it, so please forgive me for my lack of writing skills. I'll just write the story the way it happened, but first, let me tell you a little about myself...

I was 17 years old at the time, living with my mom in a little old cabin in the woods outside the city. We weren't a poor family; we just liked the peace and tranquility of the forest. I don't even know if you can call us a family. It's just my mom and me. You see, my father died when I was 5 years old, and they didn't have the time for another kid. We know nothing about my dad's family... we never even met them. And my mom's... well, they are far, far away from us, and they like to keep it that way, I don't know why though. My mom says they didn't have a fight, so is not because of hate. Maybe it's just because we are different; we love nature and adventure, they love money, big cities, fancy clothes, and mansions. We wouldn't get along that easy I guess. I remember that, when my father died, they tried to take us with them to the city, but my mom and I were happy in the woods, and they wouldn't understand it, to the point they got frustrated and left us alone thinking we were crazy. And maybe we are crazy, but we love it. We are happy. And that's all that matters, right? Being happy. Anyways, two years later, we received a handwritten letter from my aunt, grandma, and uncle, saying they had moved to New York. That's all we know, to the date, about my mom's "family". I have no idea if I have cousins... I always wanted cousins, since I didn't have a little brother or sister... but I had really good friends.

My friends. I love every single one of my friends. They make me laugh all the time, even when we're fighting. I'm a really easy going person, I get along with practically anyone, although I'm shy at first, once I trust you and feel comfortable around you, I let my craziness amaze you. Now, getting back to my friends, I have five best friends in the whole universe. Five new members of my family. Five accomplices.

We all went to the same school, but not all in the same grade. In my grade there's Ally, same age, tall, blonde, and the sweetest person ever. Then there's Hailee, with dirty blonde hair with dark blue dip dye, a little taller than me, and the youngest of the group (just for a couple of months). And also in my grade, Austin, with dark hair, blue eyes, tall, and strong. Ally, Hailee, Austin, and I grew up together. We've been friends since kindergarten. The last ones to join the group were Luke and Ashton, who are cousins, and a year older than us. Luke has dirty blonde hair, the most mysterious look ever, and a deep thought about life. On the other hand, Ashton has fluffy brown hair, green eyes, cute little dimples, and a beautiful laugh. He's the one that makes me laugh the most, always so happy and mischievous. I've had a crush on him since the first day of high school. But yeah... those are my five best friends. We get on the weirdest adventures ever.

And yes... this is one of them...

Oh and I almost forgot! My name is Emma by the way ;)
