You call it..."Self defense" (Seventeen- Hoshi)

I just got back from downloading Hoshi's pictures. Put it together Sunny!! ><

"Mom...... Mom. MOMM!" I shout at her as she shoot back at me with a glare.

"What is it Mimi?" she asks as she puts her hand on the phone to cover the conversation we were having from the caller she was talking to for the last 17 minutes. 

"Do I really have to goooo...... I mean I don't think I'll really need uhh.... What you call 'self defense' in my life. I bet there will be people around us that will try to help a poor girl from getting kidnapped." I say as I sigh. "ALSO! I have this." I put out my phone to her.

"We've been though this and I think it's really important that you learn to defend yourself Mimi. On your own. No help from other people around you, and definitely not by your phone. Why did I even agree on buying you that I don't even know..." she says as she sighs and shakes her head.

"There are billions of people out there. I bet some of them will be willing to help me." I say as I try to get my point to her.

"No Mimi. No matter how strong your points could be against this lessons, I will have to send you to this academy. You'll have fun. I promise." she says as she winks at me before going back to her phone call.

"RIGHT." I state sarcastically before packing my bag for the lesson at 3 o'clock. 

"I really really really don't understand. I'm old enough to protect myself. I have some skills other than Taekwondo to defend myself. I'll kick his shin and I'll run for my life. I'm considered in the part of fast girls in my school. I won 1st place!!" I say as I throw my arms up in defeat. We were already getting in the car to drive there anyways.

"I really do hope you don't mind me ignoring you because that's going to happen if you DON'T STOP WITH ALL THE COMPLAINING. You think I want to send you there with all the money they take of each lesson? No. I'm forcing you to go there because it is dangerous. For your self defense madam. So stop complaining for heaven's sake......" she says as she starts driving towards the academy.

"I'll have so much fun mom. I'm so glad you're sending me to this academy when you could have bought another grain of rice instead." I say as I forcefully reach in the back of my mind and  state the forced lines my mom asked me to say every time these kind of things happened. 

"Now, you'll have to practice saying it with emotion." she says as I shut the car's door and walk reluctantly inside the academy.

I walk into the room with my hair tied up so that it won't stick to my face when I'm practicing "self defense"

"Hi, my name is Mimi. I'm the new.... Err...... Ummm.... Yes. Student here uhhh joining today." I say in the best Korean as I walk to the counter and get all the things I need for this class. "Gee thanks."

I don't think I mentioned the fact that I was Japanese and I had broken Korean. No one here seemed familiar with Japanese.... How am I even supposed to survive with this language barrier.... 

"Enjoy." she says simply before letting me inside the room filled with people practicing. There were many people already breaking the wooden plates and I was too scared to go in between them that I had to slide in between those people and the wall. 

"This place is just too out of control. And my mom wants me to join this place? No thank you." I mumble.

"WELCOME!" someone says from beside me.
