Dear Diary,
My name is Catherine , daughter of Thomas of Crydee III and Lady Margaret. I have a little sister named Elizabeth, who is 7 years old, and my twin little brothers, named Edward and Phillip, are 5 years old. I, myself, am 12 years old, meaning I am officially of an eligible age to be married. Which is exactly why I am writing this journal. Today my wet nurse, Primeviere, informed me that I am engaged to Prince James of Sendaria (the country where I live). Can you imagine?! Me! The daughter of a minor of a remote duchy, marrying Prince James, eldest son of King Richard and first in line for the throne. And what's worse is the fact that he's 25!! Honestly, why are they doing this to me. If I have to marry a prince, can't I at least marry his younger brother, Prince Henry?! He's 16 and way more attractive than Prince James! The engagement is to be announced officially at the Royal Ball on the 23rd, where it is custom for the prince of the kingdom to announce his betrothal. But at least I'll get another little sister, Princess Rosemarie, who's 7 years old, just like Elizabeth. Since I'm his betrothed, instead of having to get a less fancy gown, because that's all we can afford, the king is actually sending over the Royal Dressmaker with orders to make the finest dress in the kingdom for me to wear to the ball.  The prince just said to "make sure the gown makes me look irresistible, so that every man, be he young or old, be jealous of the prince for his beautiful bride-to-be, and so that every maiden, be she fair or homely, eligible or married, rich or poor, will be jealous of his betrothed, not only for marrying him (*eyeroll* what a pompous, self-centered, douche, but what can you expect, he's a prince), but also for her beauty, that none may have any doubt in their mind that the crown prince and his betrothed are meant to be."  Honestly!!  He just wants to show me off!  How offending!!  I'm a noble too!  Anyway, I have to go.  The Royal Dressmaker just got here for my first fitting, since we sent her my measurements and a basic dress design ahead of time.  6 days until ball

A/N (authors note): First a shout out to the person who started me writing this. Thanks Ms. Pike, you were a great teacher last year and it's because of you I've been able to unlock my creativity in this way and I greatly appreciate it, and sorry I didn't do well on most of my other essays, but this one is the only I liked at all.
Anyways, if anybody has any ideas to correct the grammar, make the story more interesting, or a sketch of a Middle Ages style ball gown, feel free to let me know and I would love it and I will give them credit at the end of the chapter where I used their advice or sketch (the more designs I get, the better).  Thank you all for reading.  I hope you all comment.  And no hate mail but plenty of constructive criticism, and if you're not sure what the difference is google it, and if you're not sure which it is, don't post it.

P.S.  At some point I'm hoping to get another version of this story up on Episode, so I will use any comments or sketches there as well and I will give that person credit at the end of whatever chapter they help me with or I use their designs for.
