Goddammit. It's been a month since that day. I think it's safe to say that I basically watched most of Mark's videos, now just waiting for the next day to watch a new one.
Alright, I'm a fan now. But...I can't stop thinking about that day, and every time I try to forget, I just can't stop.
I see him in my dreams sometimes. Not anything too crazy, but he will show up. So, I decided that I really needed to clear my head. Not getting too dressed up, just a plain blue hoodie, black jeans and some converse.
Since my best friend didn't actually live with me, I was alone when I left my apartment. Before I left,I checked my phone, and was relieved that I had finally stopped getting messages from that guy who dumped me in the rain.
Hey! Don't think about that! About him! I was gonna clear my mind, right?
Just as I stepped outside, it started to drizzle. Then it started to rain. I sighed and pulled up my hoodie. There's a little coffee shop that I visit frequently, and I decided to head there.
Running in to get away from the rain, I quickly went into the building. One of my friends, Josie, who works there, gave me a big smile.
" Hey, girl! Where you been?" " You know, just....busy..I guess." Josie gave me a slightly worried look. But I shook it off.
"Hey, Josie, could I have the regular, please?" "Sure thing, hun! Coming right up!" And she skips away. I smile as she walks away, she is just so happy to be herself. I admire it.
Taking out my phone, I checked social media. Just boring stuff, as usual. I am a really artsy person, so all of my dashboards are filled with that kind of stuff.
Josie came back with a black and gold coffee mug, delicately setting it in front of me. "Need anything else?" "No thanks, Josie." And I gave a polite smile. All of the sudden, Josie rolls her eyes jokingly and sits down. "Y/N, don't play with me, I know something's up." "It's nothing, really. I'm-" "No, you're not." I sighed in defeat and told her my whole story.
When I was done, she had this sympathetic look on her face . She was about to say something when the door opens and a cute little chime plays. "Oh," she says, "hold on dear will you excuse me?" "Mhm" I reply, looking down at my coffee, and she gets up to talk to the customer. I go back to looking at my phone, when suddenly, I hear a deep , monotone voice .
My heart jumps into my throat. Sure enough, when I look up, it's him. His red hair looks a bit messier today. He hasn't noticed me yet, but that's because he's at the counter, ordering. My mind is all over the place.
Should I say something? What is he doesn't remember me? He might , but I have no idea how he's gonna react! What should I-
"Hey," all this time I was debating, I hadn't noticed that he was standing right next to me. I look up, shocked.
"M-Mark!" "It's great to see you again." "Yeah, it is" and I smile. "Uh, could I sit  here?" and he points to the seat across from me. I shake my head, and he give a deep chuckle as he sits down.
"This is some luck, right?" He says, looking at me, with a expression I can't describe. "Y-yeah, so Mark, I've never seen you here before, what brings you here?" "Well ...I just needed a place to clear my head, i guess. And I guess I made the right decision." I started getting butterflies in my stomach. I couldn't think of what to say, but then..." So, I saw you on YouTube?" Mark raised his eyebrows.
Did I say something wrong?
"Yeah, I do a YouTube channel, it's pretty cool I guess " "You are pretty funny, you know." And Mark makes a goofy smile which makes me laugh.  "You know what?" I smile. "Wilford is a pretty awesome guy." And Mark just laughs , and his laugh makes me even more happy. "Are you sure? I mean, he did kill me." And it's my turn to laugh.
For 4 straight hours it's back and forth, making each other laugh. I check my phone for the time;4:30 pm. I look up, to see Mark staring at me. We don't say anything, but ... I'm starting to feel...something. "Y/N," he says in a very low whisper " "hm?" "Would you mind if I walked you home?"
And I let him. After we get to my place, I take a bold move.
Nope, I'm not kissing him, I'm just inviting him inside.
"Mark, do you wanna come in? I mean, you don't have to-""I would love to " and I smile sheepishly as I walk inside, and he followed. Suddenly, I feel him insanely close behind me. "Mark." I whisper, turn around, and my heart stops when I feel the impact of his lips on mine. Time stopped. His lips softly moved in sync with my own. But it ended to quickly as he pulled away.
"Mark," I whispered,
"I'm sorry. I had to. I couldn't stop thinking about you ever since that. Please."
....How could I refuse?
