"Come on." Drew said helping me up. He put his arm around my shoulder and lead me out of the box car to where the rest of the group was standing.
"What are we waiting for?" I asked Drew hugging him.

"Monty." Monty was a tall red headed Irish man. Jay went to school with him and he was the one who helped us sneak on. A couple minutes later Monty waved his hand in the air and that's when Jay started to move. We walked through a crowd of people then jumped off the back. My feet hit the hot pavement and I looked up to the blue sky. I grabbed Lil's hand and started to run down the street.
"What are we doing?" she said giggling.
"Running. Obviously."
We ran and ran leaving our friends in our dust.Lil's light blue eyes reflected the palm trees and the people we passed. Mainly young people, like in their mid 20s or some even teens like us. California was filled with many different people. Some that I never imagined of seeing or meeting. As we started picking up the speed, running towards something we saw in the distance my arm accidentally hit a tall man with tan skin and a Mohawk.
"Sorry!" I screamed trying to keep up with Lil.

We stopped when we came to a beach. It was absolutely beautiful. The water was a dark blue and the sand was warm because of the sun and there was palm trees everywhere we looked. "Wow." I said catching my breath, because the sight was breathtaking.
"Come on!" Lil squealed before running off with my hand in her's dragging me into the water.
"Hey wait for me." I heard someone call out I looked behind me to see a shirtless Drew running towards us along with Jace and Max. Jace picked Lili up and swung her around running further into the deep blue water with her in his arms bridal style. By the look of Drew's face he seemed very confused which made me laugh .

I splashed water into his face making him wipe it off, and giving me a devilish grin. I ran as fast I could throw the water. The tide came in making me fall on my butt. Just before I was about to get up again I felt something grab my wrist.
"Oh no you don't!" Drew said pushing his wet hair out of his face. We sat there for a silent moment looking at each other just taking it in until my head was under the water again and this time it wasn't a wave.
"Hey!" I squealed coming up out of the water pushing my brown hair back.

"Come and get me." I heard. I looked behind me to see Max and Drew both swimming away laughing like little kids. I took this as my opportunity  to think of a plan on how to get these idiots back. I walked out of the water, not caring that these where the only clothes I had till later.  Not caring, that seemed to be my speciality these days.
I layed down in the warm sand letting the sun heat up my body. I was in complete peace until the warmth from the sun disappeared and I felt water dripping onto my forehead. Hardly opening my eyes I mumbled.
"What do you want?"
"Come on." a familiar voice said but the waves and people on the beach made it a little vague. Too lazy to open my eyes, I put my arms over my face ignoring who ever it was and went back to relaxing. It felt cold and wet but soft hands touch my thigh which made me sit up faster than lighting can strike a tree.
"Chill. Kris chill." he said. I didn't want to chill and didn't need to chill I wasn't going to let myself get sexually abused ever again not by anyone.
I hate myself for it and I cried myself to sleep for so many years because of it and it wasn't going to happen again. I will fight with everything I have to make sure it doesn't. I was finally living the teenage dream and it wasn't going to be ripped away from me by my step father or by some young teenage boy who wants to fuck anything with a pussy. "Stop!" I scream punching this time, my vision blurred by the sun."No GET OFF OF ME!" I screamed as loud as I possibly could and pushing who ever was bent over me off of me. Letting tears escape my eyes I stood up realizing who it was. It was Drew. Drew.

With a bloody nose and worried expression spread across his face. As bad as I felt I was also still hurt and scared of what might come next.
I did not know what to say, I was a deer in headlights, a child being caught taking the cookie, with the crumbs on my lips. I wanted to put the cookie back, wipe the crumbs, and walk away. I wanted to avoid this topic. Instead of walking away.....I started to run.
