I look over at Zaria's phone, & it says 'Alex' with a heart emoji.

Me: *looks back at TV* Can't relate.

Alex: Hey, girl

Zaria: Hey Alex. Wassup

Alex: I need to tell you something. It's about your friend Chloe.

Zaria: What happened?

Alex: Well, Dean's mom invited Natalie to come to his party, but Dean didn't know that. So he thought your friend invited her, & he wants to say how sorry he is.

Zaria: Oh..

Alex: Yea.. So can you let her know please?

Zaria: Yea, of course.

Alex: Thanks mama. Bye

Me: Is he taking you out for dinner? How sweet. Yay. *sarcastic*

Zaria: Actually, Chlo... It's about you. Dean's mom invited Natalie to the party, & I guess he thought it was you. So he said he's really sorry.

Me: Omg, that's why he called? I need to call him back!

Dean: Chlo! I'm really-

Me: It's ok. Thanks for checking up on me, though.

Dean: Do you accept my apology?

Me: Yes. & I'll bring your gift to you in class tomorrow.

Dean: Natalie is such a liar. I really can't believe that scum did that.

Dean: But I want to make it up to you. Let's hang out next weekend.

Me: Really??

Dean: Yea. It could be you, Zaria, Alex, & I.

Me: "Double date" haha, just kidding

Dean: Maybe... *chuckles*

Zaria: *gasp* Omg, Chloe! You could have your first kiss!

Me: Nah, I doubt it.

Zaria: What do you mean? I'll give you guys your space.

Me: Zaria, he's just a friend. He only wants to make me happy and forget about last night.

Zaria: So when you said 'double date', what was his reaction?

Me: Maybe because it's something I can't relate to.
