"Sunny, you put the price tags on the wrong dresses."
I groaned and dropped my arms to my side letting go of the dress.
"Complaining wont fix the tag." Florence said sternly.
I looked at her with my arms crossed and putting all of my weight on leg.
She stared at me. "Fix it." she said before walking away.
I rolled my eyes and quickly ripped the price tag off, and doing the same to the others. Florence always likes to boss me around, whether she is my boss or not and it gets annoying. I don't like this job, I just didn't have a choice to do it because my dad is a drunk mess and never pays for anything. Ever since my mom died from cancer, he started to drink. Ever since I was ten which is exactly eight years ago. We moved to Ireland right before he started because he didn't want to be stuck in America with the memories of my mom. The alcohol addictions got to him and he hasn't even tried to stop. It's corrupted him which has made him literally insane. He is now abusive towards me and I am always at work because I want to avoid him. I have been afraid to tell police because I know my dad would get pissed and more than likely try to kill me because I turned him in for "no reason". Florence knows about it, she just thinks its better and he doesn't do it much anymore. I probably shouldn't have lied but she would immediately tell the police and I don't want that. I have no friends to live with because half of them turned on me a couple years after my mom died. So I'm stuck with the drunken asshole. Florence is probably my only friend. Well, kinda. She would be if I actually told her about my dad.
"Sunny!" Florence yelled.
"Coming!" I shouted back.
I completely forgot my hands were still on another dress fixing the price tag. I quickly stuck it in and walked to the front desk. I saw two men standing there. One looked older than the lad standing next to him which I assumed was his brother from the similar features.
"Greg has a wedding coming, and he wants to find tuxes for him and his brother."
I smiled at them. "Which one is Greg?" I asked.
A man raised his hand. He had some scruff unlike the other lad so I would remember him by that.
"I'm Niall." the other lad said.
I smiled at him and said. "What kind of tuxes are you looking for?"
"Well the theme is black and white." Greg said.
I nodded and grabbed a pen and pad from my desk and wrote down the theme. I wrote down Greg and Niall's name.
"Right this way." I said leading them down an aisle.
As I started showing tuxes to them I felt eyes staring at me. I turned around quickly seeing Niall staring at me. The corners of him mouth slowly curved and I gave him a quick smile back before turning back to Greg.
"These are all our black tuxes. Let me know which ones you like and if they need altered we can do that a week before the wedding." I said.
Greg smiled "Thanks Hun."
I turned around finding Niall still staring at me. I quickly smiled and walked back to the front desk.
*****
"Hey." I heard a low voice say
I looked up from my novel and saw Niall leaning an elbow on my desk. I quickly slammed shut the book and shifted uncomfortably.
"Um hi." I replied slowly setting down my book.
"Sunny is a pretty name." He said smiling.
I raised an eyebrow.
"How do you know my name?" I awkwardly asked.
He pointed at my chest.
"You have a name tag." He said letting a low chuckle escape his lips. I looked down and flushed.
"Sorry, it's been an off day for me." He smiled and nodded.
I awkwardly sat there and grabbed my novel opening it.
"Which book is that?" He asked. I show him the front of the book and he smiled.
"Lost Hero is a good one. My favourite is The Hunger Games." He said.
I smiled. "That's everyone's favourite." He nodded in agreement.
Greg walked up to me and laid two tuxes on the counter.
"These two are perfect." He said.
I looked at them and quickly put a sticky note on them with their names.
"Do you need them altered?" I asked.
"Nialls will." he said.
Niall looked at me and grinned a seductive grin. I forced myself to look away.
"Alright, well come back a week before the wedding. We'll keep it safe here for you." I replied.
Greg nodded. "Thanks. Ready Niall?" he asked.
I looked at Niall and he was writing down something on my pad.
"You need to ask permission to use my stuff." I said.
I was annoyed.
He grinned at my remark. He gave me the paper and it had a number. His I assume. "Call me sometime." He said winking.
I awkwardly smiled.
Once they were heading out the door he quickly turned around and said "By the way, you're really pretty." He said walking back out.
I smiled a little at his compliment and I heard Florence whistling. "Looks like someone is trying to hit you up."
I rolled my eyes.
"He's hot yeah, but no thanks." I said burying my nose back in my book.
"Why?" She said putting a silly pouty face on.
"Florence, I saw him for like ten minutes. No."
She smiled. "I'm just playing with you." she said walking back to a customer.
I looked at the paper with his number and slipped it into a page of my book. I laughed a little at his awkward personality but kept the number anyway. I put my book in my bag and quickly started going home.
( please vote and comment! I hope people like this and I will try to make it as good as I possibly can. There aren't many Niall fanfics because half of them are based on Harry. So I decided to write one :) xx )
