CHAPTER 4 ~ Pretend

*Taehyung's POV *

We went on the arcade to play games and then went out to buy some snacks.

"♪ LOSER oetori sen cheokhaneun geopjaengi mosdoen yangachi geoul soge neon♪" I sang as I tease Jimin who lost at a game with me.

Jimin looked annoyed and I enjoyed the sight of him.

"Haha. Mianhae (sorry)." I said while laughing.

"Hyung, what should we eat?" Jungkook asked Rapmon, who's checking out the menus.

"Let's eat tteokbokki, I know a great place around here." He said.

"Okay! Let's go!" Jimin said.

We walked towards the place Rapmon recommended when Jimin saw someone familiar.

"Ohh! I know you!" Jimin said.

The girl looked surprised.

"Do you know her?" Rapmon asked.

"Yes, we go to the same school. She's one of our batch mates." Jimin said.

"You're Hyun Ji right?" Jimin asked looking at me.

"Yes, I am" the girl said.

"Then she must be V's batch mate too. V, do you know her?" Jungkook asked as he placed his arms on my shoulders.

I raised my eyebrows and said, "No, I don't."

~ Well, I think I actually saw her before... Hmmm she was the one who Jimin talks about sometimes. They've been classmates, I think when they were in freshmen year? I'm not really sure about that but I do know her name. But I said no because we haven't really met before. ~

"What are you doing here?" Jimin asked.

"Ah, I'm just... walking around." Hyun Ji said while smiling awkwardly.

"Ah, okay see you around." Jimin said smiling brightly.

"Okay! Annyeong!" She bid goodbye and walked straight.

"Seriously? V, you don't know her?" Jimin asked curiously.

"She's the girl I've been talking to you about when we were on our freshmen year!" He exclaimed.

"Ah, is she?" I said.

"Oh, I think she was cute back then." Jimin said.

"She's cute." Rapmon agreed.

"Well, I don't really know her." I said in a low tone.

"Oh! Is this the one Rapmon hyung?" Jungkook asked.

"Yes, we're here!" Rapmon said.

We sat down and ordered 6 plates of tteokbokki.

"Ahjumma! Can we have a cola please?" I shouted.

"Okay!" the ahjumma said.

"Yah! It's been a long time since I hung out with the maknae line!" Rapmon said.

"I know right!" Jimin said.

"The food is here." The ahjumma said.

"Kyaah, let's eat!" Jungkook said.

"Mmmmm... delicious!" Jimin said looking satisfied.

"I think I need to go to the bathroom. I'll be back!" I said.

I walked out of the shop. The bathroom is about three blocks away. I kept on walking when I saw that girl, Hyun Ji walking really fast and then noticed someone looking suspicious following her around. At first, I didn't mind her but then after I went to the bathroom, I saw her again walking around and that guy still following her. I saw her and I think she's scared. I decided to follow them and went to the bookstore unnoticed.

I browsed some books while looking after her. She's trembling in fear and didn't know what to do. I saw her walking towards the cashier and then I decided to buy a book and went in line. There were two people in front of me and then her. She was done paying for the book and I noticed her hesitating to go out of the shop. I finished paying for the book when I saw her walking towards me.

"WHAT'S THE MATTER?" I thought to myself.

"Hi!" She exclaimed and looked at me nervously.

I stared at her looking really shocked.

"Hi?" I said while raising my eyebrows.

She held onto my arms tightly and said, "I need your help!" looking really desperate.

"Please help me?!" She asked while sounding like someone who's in desperate need for help.

"I know you don't know me! But we met before! I'm Lee Hyun Ji from class 3-2! I was the girl you met just a while ago, remember?" She asked hurriedly.

"So, the problem is that... I have a feeling that some guy have been following me just a while ago..." She said.

She pointed at the entrance of the shop and whispered.

"See that big guy over there? He's been following me! I'm scared what should I do? Please help me!" She said while still holding on to my arms. I stared at her while thinking of what should I do. She looked again at the door while panicking and then back at me again.

"So, what do you want me to do?" I asked coldly.

"I don't know! What's the best way to stop him from following me?" She said frightened.

"We'll pretend." I said to her confidently. I grabbed her hand and went near the entrance of the bookstore.

*Hyun Ji's POV*

I was hopelessly asking for his help because I have no idea what to do in this situation. I tried to calm down but I can't. Then he suddenly grabbed my hand near the entrance and the suspicious looking guy noticed us.

"What do you mean, pretend?" I asked.

"Hyun Ji-ah! Did you miss me? Huh?" Taehyung said while sounding like he's doing aegyo with both hands on my face.

I looked at him with big eyes. SHOCKED.

"Y-yess..." I stuttered. "Where have you been?" I asked and he let go of my face.

"Uh, sorry I was late." He said while smiling at me.

"I-its okay." I said and smiled back.

The man was still looking at us. He looked behind for a second and then hugged me. He whispered at my ear.

"Let's go out, hold my hand and walk fast."

He held my hand and then asked me, "Where do you want to go?" He asked in a sweet tone.

"Ahhmm, let's eat first." I said.

"Okay. Gaja! (let's go)." He said enthusiastically and then we went out of the shop.

I looked behind to check, and saw that the man was still following us.

"Ya! Don't look at him, he'll think that we're just pretending!" He whispered.

"Ohh, s-sorry..." I said shyly.
