The silver haired boy groaned, he didn't want to be here but his friends from the school had begged him to come along.
"It will be fun. Come on you know you want to." He mocked them under his breath. It had been fun all of two seconds before they each took to the dance floor, leaving him alone to stand awkwardly at the bar.
Gnawing the end of his straw he scanned the room. With a nod here, a wave there to his friends, he thought more and more about taking off. He could be gone before they had a chance to miss him.
That's when his eyes stopped on her.
He couldn't stop watching her as she danced. The disco-like lights bounced off her skin with each mesmerizing movement of her body.
She was oblivious of the fact that he was watching her, lost in the pulsing music as Lady Gaga sang a song that seemed to be written just for her.
"Baby loves to dance in the dark."
Her long dark hair swished against her lower back when she swiveled her hips with each beat. She had him in a trance like no other girl he had seen before.
He wanted to know more about her but stayed frozen in place, fear if he approached her she would flee. So he just watched her from afar.
Suddenly the lights seemed to be coming, not from overhead as before, but from within her somehow.
It was almost as if she was made of light instead of the normal flesh and bone.
Suddenly her eyes locked with his, a small smirk on her lips as she raised a hand to beckon him closer.
Without his consent his feet began to move.
Right up to the newfound light in his dark world.
A/N: really sorry if this sucks. It just popped in my head and I went with it.
