It's been a month and it's been complete hell without Riley. I don't even see her around anymore. I miss her.

It's still eating at me that I'm the reason she's hurting so much, but I still have no idea what I did.

I went a while without my parents knowing anything was wrong, but they eventually noticed I wasn't acting the same so I told them what happened. My mom told me I just need to give her time.

And it hasn't been the same not seeing her face at least once while we're in school. It's like she disappeared. No one has seen her at all.

At least, not until today.

Riley

I haven't spoken to anyone since that day at the movies. I know all of their schedules to the letter so it's easy for me to avoid them.

Shutting them out of my life gave me more time to focus on school which pushed me further ahead and to do some different things. I waited around for Dani outside her locker to go home when Amber popped up with some of her little clones.

"Well, well. If it isn't the little goth freak herself. How are things Riley?"

I didn't need this right now, so I ignored her.

"Not going to answer me? Then I'll just keep talking. You and I have unresolved issues."

I chuckled. "Like what?"

"You're the reason Jacob with up with me. You always got in my way"

"What, he broke up with you again? That isn't my fault. There's obviously something wrong with you if he broke up you twice"

She didn't have a response to that one, but she regained her composure.

"Think that's funny? I know things about you, y'know. Things I'm pretty sure you wouldn't want people to know"

Dani showed up at the perfect time. Oddly, a small crowd had formed. People who apparently had nothing better to do.

"I don't have the time or the energy for this. Let's go"

As I turned to leave, Amber called out to me.

"Oh Riley. Since you don't want to listen to me, you don't mind if I tell everyone else do you? I'm sure they'd love to hear about your past"

"Excuse me?"

"I know all about you. I know about the fire and how your family shipped you all the way out here because they don't love you. They think its your fault you know"

"That's not true. You don't know anything"

How could she even know about that? But she's lying. That's not why I'm here.

"I don't know anything, huh? Lets see, you have 4 older brothers and you're the baby of the family..."

"Shut up"

"You're family is broken apart. Your mother is back in her home country while your father and brothers are currently living in Oklahoma..."

"Shut up"

"And when you were around the age of 6 you moved here to your relatives after that horrible fire..."

"I SAID SHUT UP"

"Aww, did I strike a nerve? Poor Riley, doesn't it suck to know your own family doesn't love you"

"Riley?"

It was Dani. She looked concerned. My head is killing me. Ever since I moved in with them, I haven't talked about my side of the family once. And here goes Amber, bringing up what I never wanted to be repeated.
