It was a little past midnight. Their victim was lying on the ground in front of them, shaking in trepidation. This was so exciting! They'd be able to finally have some fun. It had been a while.
"P-please! Don't kill me!" The girl screamed. There was no point, though. No one would be able to hear them unless someone was taking a stroll. But even then, the murderer would make sure if anyone saw, they wouldn't be alive to tell.
"Isn't the sky just beautiful at this time of night?" The murderer asked his victim.
"Please, please, please..."
The murderer frowned. This girl was being quite the nuisance to their good mood. They felt a slow, painful death was called for.
The murderer reached into their jacket pocket and pulled out a switchblade.
"Let's play a game!" The murderer said. He couldn't help but grin. "It's called 'how many pieces of skin can I cut off without killing or making my victim unconscious?'"
The girl screamed again and tried to get up and run away but the murderer slashed at her feet and she fell to the ground, screeching and crying. The murderer always loved the sound of screams.
The murderer kneeled down and started with one the girl's arms. They brought the switchblade down to very soft and penetrable skin. The murderer resisted the urge to drive the blade right into her arm and slashed a piece of skin off. The girl screamed in agony.
"That's one," the murderer said with a smile. They gently placed the piece of skin on the ground next to them and grabbed the girl's arm.
"NO!!" She screeched. "DON'T DO THAT AGAIN! PLEASE!"
The murderer just chuckled and cut another piece off. They repeated the process several times, counting as they went and after a little while, the girl's arm was just red muscle. Miraculously, the girl was still conscious. The murderer frowned again.
"Fifty-three pieces of skin," the murderer said to them self. They were starting to get a little bored. The murderer picked up their switchblade that was currently on the ground and stabbed it right through the girl's frightened face. The murderer sighed.
When they got the blade out of the girl's face after quite a bit of struggle, the murderer stared at the girl's impaled face.
They laughed. And laughed. And didn't stop.
But after a little while, they did stop and closed their switchblade.
"That's all for tonight," the murderer muttered. They got up off the ground and started walking into the direction of Hakone.
