Raven's POV
Okay, okay. Doc Martins, Converse, White and Black Rabens, Heels and Black Cowboy boots. All shoes are here. Yep yep, all the shirts are there, black, blue, red, yellow, green and purple skinnies. Black, blue, red, yellow, green and purple shorts. Oh, almost forgot. My Gir shirt. I turned around and grabbed a green shirt from the open draw behind me. I held it in front of me and inspected it. Gir was on the front in his dog suit, sitting down, preparing to eat a cupcake. No stains, no dirt patches, no rips, still in brand new shape. Even though I wore this shirt often. Storm bought it for me on my 15th birthday, and it still fits perfectly. "RAVEN! HURRY UP!" I heard a voice call from upstairs. "Okay, okay, I'm nearly done, hold your horses, geez." I muttered under my breath. I grabbed the side of my purple suitcase and zipped it up. Dragging it up the stairs caused a rythmic banging sound to echo through the house. Sounded like a cool drum solo. I hummed it the car to try and remember it. Swinging the suitcase into the back of the van, I slammed the boot door shut and slid open the side door."Raven! Finally! Takes you fifty six years to get ready!" Storm whined. Kaycee nodded quickly in agreement then returned her focus back to the phone in her hands. I shrugged and climbed in between both of them to strap in. Mum and Dad climbed in the front and the van roared to life. We sped off out the driveway and to the airport, Black Veil Brides van following close behind.
We arrived at the airport at about 6:00pm. The plane left at 9:00pm, so we had hours to do nothing in particular. I grabbed my suitcase and helped Storm and Kaycee get theirs out. We ran ahead to the Black Veil Brides bus and waited patiently for them to get their shit together so we could go inside. BANG! "ANDY! YOU'RE A KNOB-JOCKEY!" I heard C.C yelling. "SORRY!" Andy screamed back. The van door slid open and a well-kept looking C.C nearly fell into us. "Woah, sorry. Didn't see you there. Oh, and that yelling, Andy didn't get up and then fell out of his bunk and in my way and he refused to get up. Haha..." C.C nervously tried to explain whilst scratching the back of his neck. I shook my head. "C.C?" I cocked my eyebrow. "Yeah?" He straightened up and looked worried. "Shut up. It's all good, just get your act together so we can get inside already." I smiled. C.C smiled back and retreated into the van, sliding the door closed again. In about five minutes we were all going through security, being scanned, our bags being checked, the whole works.
We finally escaped the maze of twisting, winding hallways and emerged into what seemed like a mini shopping centre. A bright kids toy store stood proudly in the far corner of the area. C.C's eyes lit up and he dashed towards it like a hamster on steroids. Jake and Andy weren't too far behind. Jinxx shrugged and headed towards KFC to get us some food. "Where do you guys want to go?" Ashley asked us. Kaycee started wondering aimlessly in the other direction, towards the cookie stands and terminal areas. I turned to look at Storm, and found she had already dashed off to the closest book store, Ashley in tow. "Morons!" I mumbled, following Storm and Ashley. The book shop was red, green and creamy colours for Christmas. It was well-lit, and held more books than our school library. I went from aisle to aisle and found Storm in the Fantasy/Romance section. She was reading the blurb of a really thick book. I was black with blue writing, and the illustration on the front was a faded purple. "That looks cool, what's it called?" I asked Storm, plucking the book from her hands. "Open Mysteries and Faded Wounds. Looks interesting." She said quietly, not really wanting to engage in a conversation with me. She took the book back and put it on the shelf. I saw Ash standing at the end of the aisle, leaning against a wall with his arms crossed and a thoughtful look on his face. As soon as he saw me he dashed in the opposite direction and out of the store. I shrugged and started walkng to the terminal, pulling out my phone to text random people.
I scrolled through my contacts and found someone worth talking to. 'heyy georgia! what you doing? bored as all hell in airport and evrybody ditched me. this mega sukks </3 (forever alone :p)' I felt the phone vibrate a reply and I continued talking to Georgia.
Storm's POV
"Ngaww, Ash. You're too nice. You really shouldn't have bought me this book!" I tried to sound chill, but my voice was squeaking slightly, letting my excitement come through. "Haha it's no problem, come on, let's go over to the guys." Ash grabbed my hand and led me over to Jake, Jinxx, C.C and Andy, who were gobbling down mountains of food. Andy looked up at us, his hands full of chips and his hair smothering his face. I pushed back his hair and pulled it behind his ears and shoulders. "Thanks. Want some?" He asked between mouthfuls. I nodded and sat down, pulling aside a hamburger so that I could eat it slowly without the guys trying to snatch it. Ash sat nex to me and grabbed the occasional chip. "You excited?" Ash said out of the blue. "For what?" I asked stupidly, considering my attack plan to grab a lone coke. "Tour! DUH!" Ash tapped his head, still slightly cautious around me, and very considerate at that. The opportunity came around and I took it, grabbing the coke and still having my hand attached afterwards. It was a miracle! "Hell yeah! I can't wait!" I gulped down some of the coke and offered the rest to Ash. He took it reluctantly, careful not to touch me unless neccesary or he forgets, like earlier. He sipped it a couple of times and handed it back to me. I downed the rest and threw the can at Andy's head. Andy looked up and glared at everyone, trying to pinpoint the assualtant. His eyes landed on Jinxx, and he hurled a chip at him.
I choked on the chip I was eating and tried to muffle my laughter. Ash eyed me curiously and continued to watch the scene before them. "NO!" "Yeah!" "Get off!" "Jake!" I got so lost I wasn't sure who was saying what. All I knew was that the airport was deserted, present company excluded, and a food fight was about to start. I stood up and yelled "FOOD FIGHT!" with my arms outstretched. About nine things landed on me at once, and everybody erupted in laughter. Ash nearly fell off his chair laughing. I picked up both handfuls and threw them at whoever stood up, which I think was C.C. Soon enough, everybody was running around the area, hiding behind trash cans and under tables, throwing food at each other. I soon got very thirsty. "Anyone got a drink?" I called over the laughter. A sunkist was suddenly coming my way. I caught it one-handed like a boss and opened it. I ducked back down behind the large brick walls, dividing restuarant from shops, and gulped it down. Ash was next to me in seconds, grabbing the sunkist and downed the last few mouthfuls. He leant back and tried to catch his breath. He had chips all through his hair, he looked so retarded. I got on my knees and proceeded to pick out random chips and burger parts from his hair. I felt him tense up every time I touched him. I thought he was probably just being protective again and shrugged it off, fixed his hair and pushed him back out onto the battlefield.
Well, as you can imagine, we probably looked like hobos boarding the plane. Food and dirt in our hair, clothes messed up, rips in shirts were safety pins had fallen out and just generally being noisy idiots and acting drunk. Andy fell over about three times down in the tube thing you have to go through to get on the plane, and I wasn't much better. The flight crew ended up seperating us into pairs. Jake and Jinxx (wouldn't be TOO disruptive), Andy and C.C (definately NOT a good idea when you want quiet, good behaviour), and Ash and I. Raven got seated next to some Italian guy that smelled like petrol. Sucked in. I stared out of the plane window as we took off, and said goodbye to Australia as the land below us disappeared under the giant, white fluffy clouds. I grabbed Ash's hand subconciously when the plane wobbled, and I felt his hands try to ball up, then give in and squeeze my hand reassuringly. I shut my eyes holding Ash's hand tightly and slowly drifted into sleep.
