chapter 1

Asher's POV

I need to focus on this. I dribbled the ball and tried my freaking best to dribble past my opponent that's blocking me. I faked left and go right and I shoot! Its all like a movie where the ball travel in slow motion and everyone's were locked at the ball and........ Into the hole it went!

"Yes!!" I punched my fist in the air.

"Yeah man, you are our life saver!" My friends, James, Hayden and Adam congratulated me with a bro fist. "Hah, never have been able to do it without the whole team," I replied, stating the fact.

"Aww man! Asher's getting the mushy talk started!" Hayden cooed. Good job Hayden, ways to ruin the moment.

Without any warning, I was tackled. Whoever tackled me tried to punch me in the face but failed. I grabbed his fist and twist it, standing up and pushed him to the ground. Its my opponent who tried to block me in the game.

"Dont ever mess with the wrong person." I glared at him and lastly, I stepped his stomach. He grunt in pain. Nice move Asher!

Coach saw what I did and called me up. "Asher, you repeatedly cause trouble here and I have already warned you several times. What is wrong with you?" He seemed pissed but hell no I dont care.

I looked down at the ground, not wanting to cause any trouble with coach. "I want your parents number so that I can call them. Give me their numbers now."

Maybe, I mean maybe, coach is seriously getting old.

"How many times must I tell you that I have no parents? They died, remember?" I explained, trying not to sound that im gonna break down in a minute.

"Ohh, umm, right sorry about that. Anyway, this is the last warning or im gonna expel you from West Valley. Then he walked away. Is there any part of my face tells him that I care? No.
