"A game?" I ask. I'm a little interested in what he has to say but scared at the same time.

"Yes, a game. For your freedom." his smile twists and grows. He continues to stare into my eyes, "You are free to do your investigation, but if, during said investigation you get caught by me you have one of two choices. Become my belonging or be tortured by the girl in red."

"How... How did you know I was investigating? And what do you know about the girl in red?" I ask anger in my voice. He laughs and takes a step closer to me.

"You will find out soon enough my dear. But you still haven't answered my question. Do you wish to participate in my game?" his eyes grew cold but his smile remains.

"I... I will." I say. What else can I really do? His smile fades.

"I'm glad you chose to participate. I'll show you to the door." he gestures out of the bathroom and let's me out first. I grab my belongings and he shows me out. The whole house is five stories tall and mansion like. It's white from head to toe and there's not a speck of dust anywhere to be found. There are hard wood floors mostly covered by black carpets in the center of hallways and the stairs. The large oak doors were opened and there was a car waiting outside. I don't recognize any of this area. J suddenly there's a bag thrown over my head and I'm pushed into the car. Guess they don't want me to know where they are but I couldn't care less. They're letting me go. "Take her to the parking lot. Code 28." the man says.

"Guess it's more fun this way sir?" another voice asks. "Code 28. I will return shortly sir. Let me know if there are any other errands you need me to run."

"Good work Charles." the man says, "Good luck Kathleen. I know you won't disappoint." with that the car starts and we start moving. Within a few minutes, rather what feels like a few minutes, we stop. The car is not turned off but someone gets out and helps me out. They pull the bag off my head and I start to walk to my car. They pull away and drive off. The car had no plates so I can't inform the police. They've obviously done this before but how many times? I close the doors to my car and hop in the drivers seat. I drive to the police station and ask to see the police who were on site at the parking lot. They come out within a few minutes.

"Kathleen what happened to you!" the cop says. Now that I get a good look at him I realize it's Johnny, Locke's partner.

"I'm sorry Johnny. I'm here to tell you everything that happened. Is there somewhere private we could go?" I ask shamefully. He gives a short nod and leads me to one of the interrogation rooms. We sit down on opposite sides of the table and I tell him everything from me calling work to driving over here. No details left out. He stares and sits quietly, listening and asking questions only when he doesn't understand something. I answer them quickly if I know them. Once my story is finished he stands up and escorts me out.

"I believe your story and I want to help you out. I will accompany you on this and make it an official investigation with you as the lead investigator. After all you are the best in town." Johnny says once we are outside. We walk to the car and get inside. I show him the note and tell him the dangers. He nods and still is willing to accompany me. I pull out his notes and start to read them aloud.

"August 25, 2015. Day one of the investigation. I've stopped by the local library and read into some stories of this 'girl in red' and find it extremely fascinating. The victims all have the same mark found in these books and I have to know more. I go to the station and dig up some old records finding that this has been going on for years. When I get back to the car the doors are open and there's a corpse inside, note in hand... "
