Peregrine

I walked through the huts and tree houses of all the animal spirits. Everyone called my name, saying hello, and other things. Everyone knew me as the only peacock in the forest.

A rain drop hit my hand. I looked up. "Rain." I said.

The rain hit harder, and I was getting soaked. Mira, in a puff of darkness, appeared in front of me.

I looked at her. She was dry.

"That's odd." She said. "Why is it only raining here?" She walked closer, and the rain molded around her. She touched me, but the rain didn't hit her.

I smiled. "I don't think it's bad, I think it's my emotions."

A crack of thunder flew over my head. "You're upset?" Mira asked.

I walked behind her. "No, I'm happy."

The rain followed me, all the spirits staring.

"Come on, I could lose the rain." I said.

I kept walking. I was heading for the pillar for the Goddess of Luck, and God of Wisdom. At least, that was what felt right.

In the corner of my eye, I saw a bright, red and white flash. I stopped.

"The...fox."

I shook my head and kept walking. I heard the rush of a waterfall. The rain around me turned to hail.

"The Fountain of Youth!" I said.

That was where some of the more important gods were. Like Emotion, Luck, Wisdom, Happiness, and, of course,

Time.

I pushed the leaves and branches out of my way, and was greeted, about a hundred feet away, with a large, broad, and rocky cliff, and a graceful waterfall moving in between the rocks. It all came down to a large pond, which stretched into many rivers.

Brushes and trees, and some flowers, decorated the side. (Image above is the Fountain of Youth)

I smiled, and the hail turned to rain, and I ran to the thirteen pillars.

From the outside in, they were: Emotion, Luck, Wisdom, Happiness, Sadness, Color, Magic, Peace, Love, Nature, Dark, Light, Youth, and the most important one of all, in the middle,

Ordoric. Time.

The pillar of Luna Mieanne, the greatest Goddess of all time.

She ruled over all of the gods for many years, on the top of the Raining Mountain. I was alive at the time, and I remember everything.

Brilliant flowers and fruits grew everywhere, and we learned how to keep Peace and Love, causing them to become gods.

Everyone was treasured, and water was pure. Beauty was found in all. And, best of all, time stopped.

But then, Time stopped. With the next god, who is ruling to this day. Dark.

But, Dark is actually a very kind God. He wishes he was Time, like the beauty she was. Luna was his true love, as the moon and darkness work so well. And this is also why Mira had so much control. She is the child of Midnight.

I fanned out my tail, and jumped to Luna's pillar. "Thank you, power of Ordoric. Of making me live. I am glad." I pressed a hand to the cold, grey stone, and stared.

"Of course, little Kujaku." A voice resonated in my head.

I shot up, laying in my hammock in the trees. I looked around. "Was that all a dream?" I asked out loud.

"No, you really did walk around with rain clouds over your head. You stood on the Pillar of Ordoric, and then you fainted. I saw you and took you back here." Mira said.

"That is quite odd..." I say, rubbing my head.

Mira puts a hand on my forehead. "Are you alright? You seem a bit cold."

"Huh...."

Just then it hit me. Why there was rain, why I needed the Pillars, what I was looking for.

I stood up, steady on the wobbling branch. "I have to go, Mira. Thank you for looking after me!" I called as I jumped of the tree.

I landed on one knee and my hand, looking up. "Where is he?!" I said, looking around.

I stopped, realizing everyone was staring st me. "Oh." I whispered.

I saw a flash of red and a brush of a tail on my legs. I was still. Then, slowly, I turned. The tail of a fox left to the trees. I smiled, "Found you!" And followed him.

By the way he was running, I knew he knew I was following him.

He glanced back at me. "What do you want with me?!" He yelled.

I stopped.

What did I want from him?

He stopped, and turned to me. "Iv'e never seen you before, other then that time at the river. What are you?" He asked.

I smiled and fanned out my tail. "What do you think?" I asked.

He stared at me. "A peacock? I've never seen one before." He said. I listened to his voice, warm but sly.

"Same goes to you. I've never seen a fox." I said, putting my tail up.

He smirked. "No one's seen a fox before. I'm slippery. Finding me is close to impossible."

I took the collar of his grey shirt. "But I found you."

He blushed slightly. "Again, what do you want from me?" He asked.

I backed up. "I just wanted to see you again. You ran away at the river. And, introduce myself." I smiled and curtsied. "Anastasia Black, the only peacock in this forest."

"Black? Not a very fitting for a name for a blue peacock." He bowed. "Peregrine Stone. The only fox of the forest."

I laughed. "You're one to talk, Peregrine."

He stuck out his tongue, and a flash of lighting came from behind him.

His eyes widened, and he ran into the trees.

"No, wait! Peregrine!" I yelled after him, but it was too late.

He was gone.
