Thirty minutes later, Gean came through the door like she was ready to fight. Much like Selena, she was very upset that I had dipped off. It took a long time for her to get used to me and to trust me, so, when I disappeared, she just stopped caring about me. I had broken her trust and my promise of best friends forever. But, I knew that she'd forgive me because I knew my way around her heart.

She stomped toward the table and stood next to me with her hand on her hip. Her adorable puppy like eyes tried to express anger, but I just couldn't take her seriously.

"Before you curse me out, I have fresh, hot fried chicken." I pulled a piece out and held it up to her. By my surprise, she started to laugh and she snatched the chicken away from me. "That was easy," I breathed out.

"Oh, don't be so relieved. I'm still angry with you, you just know what I love." She bit into the chicken and giggled as she munched on it. "You're lucky I love you."

"No, I'm lucky you love chicken so much that you look past my faults as a human being."

"Nah. I love you." She took another bite out of the chicken leg and smiled.

First off, Gean's name isn't Gean. It's Amelia. I was just so amazed by her smarts that I always called her a genius, therefore creating the nickname Gean. She was easily the smartest person I had ever known. It wasn't just book smarts either. She knew so much about the things that people would usually have no clue about.

We met because of our foreign exchange program. We both happened to be placed in Europe and our host homes were only a few miles away from one another. We were put in the same school and even some of the same classes. Since we couldn't avoid one another, we decided to get to know own each other. I found out that she was from the east coast of the US and instantly, I felt a connection. It felt so good to find someone from the same place as me, who identifies with almost everything that I did. And because of that, we bonded.

"Have you talked to Sel lately?" Gean asked with a sassy and knowing tone. I looked up to her, cutting her with my eyes.

"You know I haven't."

"Well, you should. She doesn't des-"

"I know what she does and doesn't deserve. I know her better than either of you. Geez, I said I'll make it up to her, so take my word for it." With that, the conversation was over. We ate in an uncomfortable silence for a few minutes before Sabiana decided to open her mouth.

"Cut it out. I didn't call you hear to bicker."

"Yeah, why am I here?"

"Allie, please explain. My food is cold and I need to reheat it." She stood up and went to the microwave.

"Long story short, Sabiana is upset that I'm working for some famous entertainment company and I'll be working closely with some group named Go7 or something and I have no clue who these guys are."

"Go7? You mean Got7? Wait, you're working for JYP?!"

"Yes an-"

"Oh my god!"

"...yeah. But I don-"

"How?"

"Let me speak child." To stop herself from speaking more, she ate her food and gestured her hand to me, letting me know she was ready to let me talk. I explained to her how I got the job and all that. She wasn't surprised that they wanted to snatch me up so fast.

"Your skills are too good to just let you float by." I smiled at the compliment. "Remember when you did all of our makeup for prom? We were like princesses."

"You guys were princesses. I had the title of prince, remember?"

"Oh yeah, Sel always called you her knight, or her Disney prince."

"Yeah, she did..." I thought about her for a while and made a note to reconnect with her as soon as I could. I know I sound cocky, but I was important to her. I needed to make things right with her whenever I could. But right now, I needed to focus on getting to know my clients. "So, what's with these Got7 guys?"
