Jim's POV:
Business is booming as per usual, it has it's ups and downs like everything. Today just happened to be a down one, especially for that guy. Rest in peace and all that. God my job is so tiring, but it has its perks I must say.
After dealing with my slight 'issue' during PE, I track down the curly haired man, he seems to be in the library, away from idiots I suppose. Entering the 'quiet zone', my eyes scan the room impatiently- I must be ill, my pulse is everywhere today, much like these shelves filled with books of nonsense.
However I find the man sitting at a table in the corner with ease due to his height, of course by himself, he is reading Alice In Wonderland. Well no judging, the other books in this place are boring anyway. At least this one has meaning. I sit down on the chair opposite him, waiting for a sigh or protest of some sort.
"I thought you had business to attend to?" I click my tongue, smirking, never diverting my eyes. "Come now Sherlock, don't tell me you're jealous?" Sherlock's eyes roll so i chuckle a little in response, throwing my bag onto the table and taking out a bag of crisps. Leaving the contents on view.
"Don't you worry, nothing can stop me from eating my lunch." I smirk once again. "But whats stopping you from eating?" Popping a crisp in my mouth we lock eyes for a second before he reverts them back down to the page, though he has clearly lost his line and probably won't be able to concentrate on it.
"I forgot it."
"Hm, a creature of habit I see."
He raises an eyebrow and asks, "What's that supposed to mean?" I throw him a look as if to say i'm not stupid, leaning forward slightly over the table crossing my arms."Guessing by your skinny figure, worryingly thin wrists and pale tone i'm going to say you're anorexic and have a regular case of 'forgetting' your food." Sherlock scoffs, shaking his head, obviously reluctant to answer. "No? I'm wrong hmm? Then, prove it..." I hold out my crisp packet for him to take a couple, he visibly tenses, but i don't back down.
"Fine... I will.." Shifting around in his seat he hesitates only taking one at first, but I sigh signalling him to take more so he obeys, slowly bringing a small cluster to his pink mouth, my eyes observing every move carefully. And I may or may not have stared at his lips for a few seconds..
Quickly forcing them in his own mouth he returns to his book in an attempt to distract himself from the taste and presence of food. Yet after a few disgusted chews he swallows and faces me, "See? Happy now?"
"You hesitated."
"I'm not keen on the flavor."
"So i'm guessing you don't want anymore?"
"No thanks, i'll pass."
I lean back and continue to eat them whilst observing him harder, something about him makes me intrigued, fascinated..
"Well if you're done making your clearly wrong deductions, care if i take a turn?" A cocky smirk plays against my lips, eager to see what he can do and I shake my head a tad, "Oh no, not at all."
Sherlock looks me over mainly focusing on my eyes and then begins.
"You're an insomniac. You have the classic rings under the eyes for start, pretty visible, and have quite a short temper-Irritability from lack of sleep. Your sleeves have been bitten at so much the threads coming undone in the buttons. As for the depression side of things or anxiety i'll elaborate on that later. You definitely have a difficulty paying attention and focusing on tasks, that's going by our first lesson. Increased errors or accidents, well i'm not sure, you didn't take part in P.E for unknown reasons, and finally- Tension, headaches, distress in the stomach and intestines. When you got out your crisps I could see several tablets in there, including anti depressants and anti anxiety pills, thus proving the depression and anxiety point. I really don't want to bore you anymore though so excuse me."
As I wrap my brain around how hot he was unintentionally being whilst deducing me he grabs his bag and quickly exits the room, why? Why did he leave? Was he nervous, did I do something?Ohh... Shit. It took me only a second to realise why he left abruptly, anorexia.. He's probably gone to throw the food back up and get it out of his system, damn i'm so slow sometimes. But it doesn't take me long to do up my bag and race from the room, my legs leading me in a quick pace towards the bathroom and I burst in, sympathetic to the scene in front of me.
Sherlock was leaning over the sink, coughing his lungs up after being sick and sweat forming along his forehead. "Oh dear, Sherly..." I make a silent vow to murder anybody who comes through those doors..
I help him brush his hair back as he cleans up, looks like he came prepared, then wiping his arm over his forehead. "Here." Giving him a fresh bottle of water and a mint which he gladly takes. We stand in silence, I couldn't tell if it was awkward to him or not, only that for once in my life I felt something... What do they call it..? Concern? Worry? And for Sherlock of all people..
Deciding to break the ice I turn to the door, "Come on then Sherlock, wouldn't want to be late for last lesson now would we?" I open it and as he walks past muttering thank you, not just a thanks for holding the door but for helping him out and not asking questions I presume. But Sherlock, I am determined to help you, you're the first person equal to me after all, so mark my words i will not rest until you are better.
>EDITED! Didn't change much seen as it was really just a filler chapter. Gave you a bit of insight on Jim's thought process and such, opinions appreciated!<
