..!!! Zaera POV !!!..
I felt the sun rays on my face. When I tried to turn the other way, I felt the ground meeting my cheeks.
"Ugh, what the hell?". I heard Mira laughing. I looked over my bed to see her hunch over. I stood up.
"Mira that is not funny".
"I'm sorry Zae but you got to admit that watching you roll to the ground was very hilarious".
"Whatever". I went to the bathroom and did the things I had to do. I left out and changed into a royal blue dress with silver heels, and my tiara as well. Mira walked me out the dining room.
"Today you have a list of things to do to prepare for the ball tonight".
"Don't remind me Mira. It's just going to be so boring. I might just die of boredom".
"Don't say that Zae. I wish I can be a princess for the night". I looked at her with my idea face.
"Oh no Zae don't look at me like that. Every time you have that idea face something wrong always happen".
"Oh come on Mira. You'll love this idea that I have thought of. Trust me". I ran off to the dining area before she said something else. The whole family was seated when I got there.
"Hey mom, dad and Nayla".
"Hey sweetie. You ready for tonight's ball?", my mom asked.
"I guess. Dad is there a way I can skip out this one time?".
"No sweetie you can't I'm sorry".
"Fine".
"Don't worry Zae. I'm pretty sure Prince Harold is going to be there and sweep you off your feet", my sister said. I gave her a disgusting look.
"Eww Nayla why would you say that? That scumbag got the nerve to think I would marry him because of his wealth and how handsome he is. He has another thing coming". Let's just say I don't like Prince Harold. He is so conceited and horrid. He thinks he can get all the girls he want. He ,for some reason, actually think I'm going to chose him to be my groom. It's not going to happen never in this lifetime or the next.
After breakfast, I went to go see Xavier. He was our family butler for years. He's Mira and Milo father. He was standing talking to Cassandra who is his wife and also Mira and Milo mother.
"Good morning Xavier and Cassie. How is your morning going along?". They both turned towards me.
"Good Morning Princess. Our morning is going great. I'm trying to make sure everything is ready for the ball", Xavier said.
"Hey get back here". I see a guard chasing after Milo who was holding a sword with him. I started laughing and Cassie sighed.
"Good Morning Princess. Right now, my morning consist of chasing after my little bad son". That's when she walked off.
"Uhm Xavier, I wanted to know how was everything going for the ball?". We started to walk our way towards the grand ball.
"Princess, you don't have to worry about anything. Everything is set in motion. You can see for yourself". He opened the door for us to enter the grand ballroom.
I saw everyone rushing about putting things together, It was kind of hectic.
"You see princess. You have nothing to worry about".
"Alright thank you Xavier. I really appreciate the hard work. Please do tell everyone else I said thank you too".
After, I left to go see Shadow. I had wanted to ride out with him in the meadows. I changed into my riding outfit and went to the stables. I took Shadow and we rode out into the meadow. A while later, I decided to let him roam free. I got off, took my book from the saddle, and went to go sit under the shade by the tree. I was so into my book that I didn't hear Kaleb walking towards me.
