Samy's POV:

It was 10pm and was out on the roof by my window, smoking a cigarette. I know I'm only in 8th grade but this is what I do when I need to forget about things. I was looking up at the stars and I seen a shooting star. I didn't believe in shooting star but I decided to make a wish. I closed my eyes.

"I wish that everyone would forget me" I said

I heard a loud noise coming from downstairs and I quickly put out my cigarette. I went into my room and closed my windows. I put on some perfume and laid in my bed. My door opens and I was breathing heavy. It then closed and I stopped breathing heavy. My mom is abusive to me a lot when she's drunk or not drunk. My phone buzzes and it was my friend Austin.

Austin: You still awake?
Me: Yes. Why?
Austin: Come to my house
Me: Why? My mom is home and she'll find out I'm gone
Austin: So that hasn't stopped you

My door opens and I put away my phone.

"You're still awake good. I need you run down to the store to get me beer" My drunk mom said

Sometime she's okay when she's drunk but if I refuse then here comes the fist.

"Okay"

She hands me money. About $100. She walks out and picked up my phone.

Me: Is Mitch still awake?
Austin: Why
Me: I need him to buy my mom some beer
Austin: Let me ask him
Me: K
Austin: He said he will if she gave you money
Me: She did

I put on my shoes and jacket. I closed my door and walked downstairs. I checked to see if she was there because sometimes she forgets about what she told me. I open the front door and closed it. I started walking pass the Grier's house since Austin's house is a couple house from them. I seen a car coming up and I hid in a bush at someone's house. I get up after the car passes. I continued walking and I seen Nash's light was on and I threw a rock at it. I ran after that and got to Austin's house. I texted him saying I'm outside. He open the door quietly. Mitch came walking out and I hand him the money. I walked into his room and sat on his bed. Hours went by and it was 3 in the morning. I was suppose to be home by now to give my mother her beer, but she can wait.

"So how's school?" Austin asked
"It's alright"
"Those boys still picking on you?"
"No" I lied
"Are you sure"
"Yes"

Mitch comes in the room. He hands me a bag of beer. Way later. He walks out and I put on my shoes.

"I should get going" I said
"Why. We're having fun"
"Psh no"
"Psh yes"
"Whatever, I gotta go before she gets sober"
"Fine okay bye"
"Bye"

I walked out of his room and walked out the front door. I started walking and I seen my room light on. Shit hopefully she's not in there. I ran home and unlocked the front door. I walked in and put the beer on the counter. I quietly walked upstairs and walked towards my room. I open my door and no one was in here. I turned off my light and sat on my bed. The moon was bright enough for me to kinda see. I took of my shoes and socks. I changed my pants into shorts. I laid on my bed and closed my eyes. Crap I have to pee. Ugh. I get up again and used the bathroom. I laid back down and covered myself with my blanket. My eyes started drifting off and I was asleep.
