"I really miss you.", I tell my boyfriend Alex on the phone.

"I know (Y/N), I miss you too.", he says.

"When will be coming home?", I ask him trying not to cry.

"Soon.", he reassures me.

"Ok. I love you.", I say letting a single tear escape.

"I love you too (Y/N).", he says before hanging up. It's been a week since I last saw Alex. I miss him so much. I can't stand these nights alone. Once I set my phone down I make some popcorn and set it down on the coffee table.

Walking to my room, I go change into my pajamas. Then I go to the couch to watch Netflix. As I'm scrolling through the movies, I hear a noise in the apartment.
I decide it's nothing then I keep scrolling through looking for a good movie to watch. Then I hear that same noise again. It's sound like a shuffle. That's odd, I think to myself, no ones home. I get off the couch and cautiously look around. I walk throughout the whole apartment. I walk to the kitchen and inspect. I haven't found anything unusual. I shrug and start walking back to the couch. Suddenly something pushes me against the wall. I try to scream but the person places their lips against mine and kisses me passionately.

"Miss me?", the unknown person says.

"Alex!", I jump into his arms and hug him tightly.

"You scared me!", I playfully punch his shoulder.

"Sorry (Y/N), I just wanted to surprise you."

"I missed you so much.", I say as I start to cry.

"I did to baby.", he says as he sets me down.

"Now where were we?", he smirks.

He pushes me against the wall and softly kisses me. I run my hands through his hair. His kisses become a little sloppier. My lips move in sync with his until I pull away for some air.

"How about we watch a movie? I already have some popcorn made.", I suggest as I run my hands through his hair.

"I'd love that.", he smiles as we walk to the couch.

"So what movie do you want to watch?", I ask him as I snuggle up to him on the couch.

He thinks about it for awhile before answering excitedly," Oh! There's that new movie called 'Lights Out', it looks really good.", he says to me.

"Isn't that a scary movie?", I ask.

"Well...yes", he answers slowly.

"You know how I'm not the biggest fan of scary movies."

"Please?", he says giving me his best puppy dog face. It's so cute when he does that, so how could I not say yes.

"Fine.", I reluctantly say.

The movie starts and it's not so bad. I guess I spoke to soon. Suddenly a creepy girl pops up in the movie.

"Ahhhhh!", I scream as I bury my face into Alex's chest.

"It's alright baby. I'm here.", he says rubbing my back.

I peek up from his chest and see that the scary scene was over.

I go to reach for some popcorn, but my hand grabs something else. Alex's hand went to go in for some popcorn as well and we ended up holding each other's hands.
I look up at Alex and he smiles at me. I snuggle deeper into his chest and enjoy watching the movie with the man I truly love.
