Orphaned: Part 2

We were currently at the station, trying to get them not to take Violet yet.

"We're taking her now." Scott's father said.

"Uh, isn't that a little dangerous? I mean, Garrett's still out there." I say as I look up at him.

"Maybe we should let someone else do it." Scott said to his father.

"I appreciate your concern, but after Catoshi and losing evidence off an armored truck, I'm not letting this out of my sight. Besides, I've got the city's finest coming with us."

He looks over and we see my father with Violet.

We walk out of the station and walk over to Garrett's car. Scott sits in the front while I sit in the back.

Garrett hands Scott a case and he opens it. A gun.

"This isn't going to work." He says looking at the gun.

"All you have to do is stop the car, the rest is taken care of."

The car passes us and Scott and I pull up our hoods. Garrett starts to follow the car.

"There's a stop sign half a mile ahead."

"So we take it out with our claws?" I ask looking down at my hands.

"Teeth claws, whatever you need to use."

We turn the corner and the car's is flipped.

"STOP THE CAR!" Scott yells.

We rush out and run.

"DAD!" We both yell as we run towards them.

I turned around to see Garrett walking towards us with his weapon.

"She's not in the car!" I shout looking at him.

My father grabs my arm. "Scott, Chelsea, listen to me. They're still here!"

"Who is?" I ask turning around.

I immediately felt sick. In front of us was a berserker.

"You want me? Come on! Come get me!" Garrett yelled. He then started to swing his weapon around as he slowly moved towards the berserker. "Yea, you're not so big now are you?"

He started to say something else but he was cut off by the other berserker stabbing him in the middle of his back.

"Garrett!" Scott and I both run up to him. I was about to check his pulse but everything went black.

I came to and looked over. Scott had something in his chest and I had a hole where something was. I slowly got up.

"You're awake." Deaton said looking at me. "Maybe you could help me pull this out of Scott." I nod and start to walk over to him.

I grabbed a hold of the thing as he woke up. "I was actually hoping you would be out for a few more minutes." Deaton said.

"This is going to hurt." I say as I pull it out. He screams in pain and rolls over. I pull my shirt up just enough to see where I was stabbed. It's almost gone.

Scott got up.

"You alright?" I asked him.

"Where's the sheriff and my dad?"

"Their at the hospital. They'll be fine." Deaton puts something on his wound. "Hold this."

"It was Kate and the berserkers." I say looking at him.

"We know, they move fast and don't leave tracks." Deaton said.

"We have to find them. They've got Violet. I think she knows where Liam is."
