Living a Lie

Chapter 2

A:N: SO SORRY GUYS BUT THE LAST CHPTER WAS BLEH TO ME, SO I DELETED IT AND WANTED ANOTHER ONE DONE. JUDY GOT AN 87% (SO DID AUTUMN) AND AUTUMN AND JUDY'S FAMILIES WENT TO DINNER TO CELEBRATE:)

Autumn and a couple of our other friends were talking in our classroom before we had to get ready for our field trip. Even though we had other field trips in the earlier year, this one was way more exciting.

"Alright class, please take a sit so we can start the instructions and stuff!" our teacher yelled over the sound of the chatter. Mr. J always hated to say things so formally, he always liked to have fun and he wasn't like most teachers I've had before, he didn't mind us having fun and being loud and chatty in class.

The class all got in a line and my girls and I always liked sitting in the back, so of course we got to the front of the line. Mr. J smiled at us as we rushed to the front, I then gave him a smile back. Now what I didn't expect was Colby and his friends to be standing right behind us in the line. I looked forward and blushed. 'Oh how I wish he liked me!' I then heard laughter in front and in behind me. I looked around and saw how the girls and Mr. J were laughing at me, in a teasing way of course (yes Mr. J does know my crush:) It's kinda embarrassing!!)

Everyone walked to the bus and got on after a head count by Mr. J. Autumn and I rushed to the very back as the rest of the girls sat in the seats in front of us and in front of the empty seat next to us. I wondered why they left the seat empty, and then it finally dawned on me. 'Colby!' I was hoping that didn't happened but it did. I saw him and his friend Josh come to where we were.

"Hey Judy, um...is this seat...uh.." Colby stuttered and I couldn't understand why. He's always been the cool guy in his group. "What Aiden was trying to saw was, is this seat taken?" Josh politely said as he pointed to the empty seat then punched Colby in the arm in a friendly-joking way. "Uh..N-n..." I stammered, looking like a fool. "No," Autumn said as she smiled. Of course she would jump in to make a good impression so Josh would like her. They both smiled as we smiled back.

'Judy you fool! There was your chance with Colby and ya blew it!' I thought to myself as I caught something out of the corner of my eye. I turned my head around to where Colby was and he quickly looked forward. 'Was he just looking at me?!' Autumn must of saw him looking at me and probably knew what I was thinking. She gave me the code the girls and I use when our crush was or is looking our way. She whispered in my ear "Pineapple."

*Skip till they get to their destination*

Finally we made it to the rollerskating/blading place. I let out a sigh in relief as I was happy to get off the bus and roller skate. Mr. J went through the instructions again one last time before we got off the bus. We made our way into the place and got our helmets and skates or blades on. I got out onto the rink (I BELIEVE THAT'S WHAT ITS CALLED!! SORRY I DON'T ROLLERSKATE MUCH).

Everyone was having the time of their life and I was certainly happy to be back skating. I hadn't gone in a couple of months and I was extremely happy.

That was until something changed that night that I will never forget.
