Spooky prom - Chapter 6

That day was 31st of October. It supposed to be a Halloween night and a prom night.

"Manu, tonight is the prom night!"

"Wait, tonight?" he asked.

"Yeah! I think I will wear a black dress...to match the tonight's theme.."

"I don't bring a suit.." he said.

"Don't worry! You can borrow my dad's!"

"Oh ok.."

"We'll go at 6 pm, ok?" I said.

"Ok."

At 6 pm, I had a call from Audrey.

"Hey Chloe!!! I'm panicking right now!!!" She said, sounded terrified.

"What's wrong?!" I asked.

"My hair got stuck on my hair straightener!!!!"

"......what did you do to your hair.......?" I asked.

"Just help me please!!!!!!! Now!!"

"Well, ok fine! See you in a bit." And then I hung up.

So I got ready as fast as I can.

"Um, Chloe, why in a hurry..?" Manu asked.

I sighed. "Ok, listen. There are some changing plans."

He raised an eyebrow. "Huh?"

"I need to help my friend. So... I can't go to the prom with you."

"Wait, so.. I'm not going..?" He asked with confusion.

"No! you're still going! But, not with me.."

"Then with who? I don't know where your school is.." He asked.

"You can go with Chelsea.. I've talked to her. And she said that she would take you to my school. Besides, she wants to do trick or treat.."

"Well, ok then." He said.

"I'm so sorry, it's an urgent, and it won't be too long. I will see you later." I kissed his cheek and left.

Manu's POV

"Hey Chelsea, when are we going to go to Chloe's school?" I asked.

"Hold on," She said, while putting her rabbit ear headband. "Um.. probably 20 minutes later?"

"Oh okay."

"Hey Manu!! Let's prank Chloe! I mean, it's Halloween, so why not?"

"Ok, what idea you have in mind?" I asked.

"Well, this is how it goes..."

Chloe's POV

I was done fixing Audrey's problem. And then we went to the school together at 7 pm. And I didn't see Manu anywhere.

"Where's Manu?" Melissa asked.

"I have no idea.. he didn't leave me a message, he also didn't answer my calls.." I said.

"Ok then, we're going to dance, are you coming?" Amanda said.

"Just go without me, I'll wait for him.." I said.

"Ok then." And then they left.

And then I saw a guy wearing an anonymous mask, which is kind of weird. He wore a suit, so it must be a student here. But suddenly, he approached me.
