I would love to also dedicate this chapter to Kerry_x and v123m17; these three girls inspired me to post my story on wattpad. In addition to this I would love to give a shout out to 808katie for my amazing cover, if your looking for a good one she's your girl!
I listened to the steady beat of my heels clacking against the white tile in the hallway of Misty Hollow High School. Casey and I had arrived about ten minutes before the bell rang. To avoid confrontation about me lying to her about the test, I headed towards my English class room; which was my first period anyway.
“Hey Violet, are you still helping me decorate from the dance?” I smiled and nodded in response to Stacey Goth.
“Hey Vi come to my party after the dance; everyone will be there,” Jeremy said from across the hall where he was leaning against his blue locker.
“I’ll think about,” no doubt everyone would be there; Jer through the best parties. His dad was almost as rich as mine; our dads were partners in their own law firm, meaning both of them are always out of town. Since both of us are on our own all the time sometimes we stay with the other, were each other’s adopted siblings. It didn’t matter that his blond curls looked absolutely adorable in the morning, or how is blue eyes always seemed to glisten, or what cute pudgy cheeks he had; I couldn’t think of him any other way than my brother.
“Meaning you’ll come,” he said easily catching up to me leaving his other friends behind by his locker.
I laughed, “No meaning I’ll come if I have time. I already promised Casey that I would go down to the college with her to a party.”
“Ugh of course; Casey,” he pouted. He and Casey had never gotten along; I think they were jealous of one another, “you could have invited me.”
I mock gasped, “And let you miss out on the perfect opportunity to throw one of your glamorous partys? I think not, I rather not have everyone hate me,” I joked.
“Please, like anyone could hate you,” I rolled my eyes. We were already almost up to the third floor.
Misty Hollow High School Consisted of three brown, brick buildings, the biggest building was the main building; in the middle. There were two smaller buildings on each side; one was the gym, the other the cafeteria. The main building consisted of three floors. The first floor you walked in on was where the elective classes where; you took things like choir, band, cooking classes, etc. The second floor was where the underclassmen, freshman and sophomores, took their core classes. The third floor where I was headed was reserved for the upperclassmen, seniors like myself and juniors to take their core classes.
“Plenty of people hate me,” even as I said it I knew it wasn’t true.
“Envying and hating someone are two different things,” Jeremy replied.
“Whatever,” I walked into my English classroom with Jeremy following close behind.
You would think that Mrs. Hobbs would be over the whole decorating the classroom thing, like we were in kindergarten, because she taught all seniors. Nope, her bulletin board announcing upcoming projects was done in orange paper with black borders. Her windows were plastered with pumpkins and ghosts, and witches on broom sticks dangled from paper clips attached to the ceiling; you could say it was a little overdone. I took my seat at the back of the room; Jeremy on the other hand seems like he’s trying to make the most noise possible, as he sits in the desk beside me.
“So what’s going on with you and Chase now?”
“Nothing.”
“Nothing, as in,” I turned to face him.
