"Morning." Chris whispered as I started to wake up.  I tossed and turned in his arms, rolling on top of him and burying my face into his shoulder.  He chuckled slightly but kept his hands on my sides, rubbing my hips soothingly.  I purred quietly, letting out a groan when I heard my door open.

"Ricky?  Is he awake?" Devin asked, I let out a high pitched whine in response. "Do you want to go to school today?" I shook my head no and pressed my lips against Chris' neck.  I nibbled on the tattooed skin nervously as Devin left my room.

"Babe..." Chris moaned quietly.  I nuzzled into him, smiling to myself.  I felt like a melted marshmallow with the warm tingly feeling inside of me.

"I love you." He whispered in my ear.  I lifted my face so I could look him in the eyes.  I felt tears drip from my eyes as a mix of emotions took over my soul.

"Kiss me." I demanded.  In the heat of the moment, he did as I instructed.  I was left breathless and stunned, my body frozen.

"Fuck." I heard Chris swear before my vision was blacked over.  I could hear a faint heart beat, however it sounded more like the waves of an ocean.  A strong throbbing pain flooded my head along with the noise of a thousand radios playing a different station all at once.

A hand weaved through my hair and I would've thrown up if it weren't for that fact it felt like my whole body was tingling like when your hand falls asleep.  I couldn't speak since it was as if novocaine was injected into my tongue.

"It's okay. Just relax. Try to go back to sleep." Chris soothed, petting my head like a cat before shutting my eyes for me. I wouldn't argue with sleeping this numbness off.

I woke up a while later, however it was a shirtless Mike next to me this time.  I could move my arm and legs, but they were still prickly.  Mike glared at me the more I moved, pushing me back to laying down when I tried to sit up.

"Drink this. It'll help with the pins and needles." He ordered, passing me a small glass cup.  He pushed a pillow under my head as I raised the container of clear liquid to my lips and downed it.  It stung my throat as it slid down with a taste similar to rubbing alcohol.

"What was that?" I asked, instantly feeling better.  Mike laughed quietly as Chris came back to the room. He carried a couple bottles of Vodka to the bedside table next to me.

"What do you think it was?" He said while taking one of the bottles and filling the cup in my hand.  I cringed before tossing it back.

"With your size, it'll hit you pretty hard but you won't get drunk. It's just to dull the pain. Most people here drink alcohol like water.  At least you'll be able to get on your feet now." Mike informed me, taking the other bottle and raising it to his own lips.  "Or you can pride yourself on being straight edge. Such a fucking masochist." He joked, taking another sip directly in front of Chris before leaving.

"After the first couple days and stuff it won't hurt too bad.  Kuza just drowns himself in that poison because that's what he's always known." Chris explained with a sigh, "You can decide for yourself if you want to take the pain away but you'll probably come back for more some day." He suggested seductively with a wink.  I've had Chris on top of me before and I could conclude that he was massive.  Just giving him a blowjob would probably make me lose my voice. I knew I was blushing but I did nothing to hide it. Chris laughed quietly and sat by my side, grabbing me under the ribs and pulling me onto his lap.

"There's some things I'm going to need to talk to you about..." He trailed off, making me nervous, "You're dead." My mouth hung open for a second, but I wasn't surprised.

"Manson, Kuza, Vinny, Ahren, basically all of us went to your funeral.  Josh and Devin are doing better now but they're still upset.  You can visit them whenever you'd like.  You're friends at school... they're getting over it slowly." I sighed in content, knowing all is well.

"You're going to have training for the next couple of days and then you're going to be in apprenticeship to see if you could be the next king of hell.  It'll be a shit ton of work and there's still so many things you need to learn but I'm sure you'll do great."  Chris told me, cradling my body to his chest.  I took a deep breath, trying to process everything that had just been fed to my brain.

"Can we go see Josh and Devin?" I asked, feeling guilty about leaving them so suddenly.  Chris nodded and allowed me to stand.   Although I was slightly wobbly, I was able to make it out of the bland room by myself.

"I missed you so much.  I'm sorry for not visiting sooner, but Chris told us that you were sleeping." Josh explained as he crushed me in one of his infamously tight hugs.  Once he released me, Devin swept me up, holding me like a baby.

"How long was I out of it for?" I asked Chris as I awkwardly tried to turn to him.  He counted on his fingers, eventually holding up a full hand.

"Five weeks or so." He shrugged, my mouth dropping in response.  I was surprised to say the least.  It felt like I was asleep for a day or two.  I guess dying has that effect.

"Why didn't you wake me up sooner?" I stammered, slipping from Devin's arms as we all moved to the living room.  Josh wrapped an arm around my shoulder, forcing me to sit down next to him.

"It's nearly impossible to wake someone up, it's not like your normal nightly sleep.  Anyways, if I did, then you would've passed out from the amount of pain you were in." Chris told me, pulling a strand of hair out of my face.  I nudged his hand off of me before curling into his side.

"What was my funeral like?" I asked in general, causing everyone to erupt with a different story.  I smiled as they tried to shush each other, loving how lively they all were.

"I just want to go by myself..." I told everyone as I made my way up the stairs.  It was getting to be dark outside and Chris would have to bring me back to Hell soon, but I wanted to look at my room first.  That was a place holding so many memories.  Good, bad and depressing.  Of course Balz had wanted to come with me, but I shot his offer down.  Then Devin offered to escort me there and then leave, but I told him I would be okay by myself.  Chris said it would be a good idea for someone to be there for me, but I knew he would just be a scream away if I needed anything.

I pushed open the door with a light tap, taking a deep breath before stepping in.  The room was exactly as I had left it, even the bedside table light was on.  Not a single article of clothing had been moved from the piles on the floors.   There was a shallow indent in my bed, showing the exact place my body was when my heart stopped.  I choked on my breath, my head becoming fuzzy and the burning sensation coming back to my limbs.

After all the times when I could've died, it was when I was kissing my soul mate.  Death was always a welcomed guest in my book, though.
