00:04 | Jealous

I have never thought of that.

The "love" this stud talks about,
and the "love" I talk about,
might be two different things.

Maybe...
It's only me,
who thinks
this is a-
brotherly kinda love.

It's because I love you, huh?

"I love you"

When I think of it,
this stud has been telling me
those same three words
over and over again.
Ever since the age of 4.

But now—

{Evening}

I open up my room door and step in, "Ace, your food been ready."

"... 'ight, coming." She responds without looking up from her phone.

—she won't even look at me.

I shrug and walk off and down the stairs to the dining room. Kenzi was already at the table eating hastily when I sat down.

Moments later, Ace joined at my side across Kenzi and we began to eat in silence despite Kenzi's loud slurping and chewing.

She eventually stopped eating for a moment as she gaped at us with her mouth still full of food, "Wush rung wid yall? Yall tuu figh'n or sum'n?"

I became uneasy when those words left her mouth and I stopped eating, "Uh... nah—"

"We fought." Ace says without making any eye contact, she was still on her phone even while eating spaghetti. "We fought. You even hit me, ain't you?" She mutters while typing faster on her phone.

"Hit you?" Kenzi stopped eating completely and stared at Ace. "Oh, you must've done something to get hit."

clang!

Ace shoved her plate away and slammed her phone down, "It ain't my fault– even though it's me who couldn't control myself like-" She stands up abruptly, "-I just couldn't help it, it's all Kenzi's damn fault 'cause she the reason we had to squeeze on such a small bed! In that situationship, being that close to the person you lu—"

"Ace." I growl to get her to shut up.

Tears swell in her eyes and she storms away from the table, "I'm done eating!" Afterwards, I hear my room door slam.

It becomes awkwardly quiet in the room, both me and Kenzi avoid eye contact.

"Dlicya," Kenzi says causing my heart to speed up from anxiety.

She must know...

I look up at her and she flashes me a smile, "I'd love for you to cook some dumplings tomorrow. Oh-! I've been craving some so bad! Please? Please?"

I stare at her in shock before letting out a sigh of relief, "I've neva' made 'em before." I let her know as I get up with all our dishes. "I don't think I can make 'em."

She pouts as I put the dishes in the sink and began to clean them. "Well, thanks for the meal. It was really good, you're gifted." Afterwards, I hear her room door shut.
