The walk to Mr. Tomlinson's was quite brisk. I passed Perrie Edwards' house one day, and she invited me in for tea and lemon squares and a tad bit of gossip.
"How could I refuse?" I said, smiling. "I do have tutoring in thirty minutes, that's plenty of time."
Perrie beamed, her blue eyes widening as she did.
We talked a bit, mostly about our families, and the topic finally came to Harry. It sort of turned me off. Thinking about Harry always led to one thing to the other, and the thing it ended up was usually death, which made my brown eyes moist.
"So how's your boyfriend?" Perrie said interestingly, taking a sip of tea. "He's in the war, yes?"
I forced a laugh. "He's not my boyfriend, Perrie. But yes, he is in the war."
Perrie nodded. "How about the Malik guy?"
"What about him?"
"Is he, you know, actually a homosexual?" The colour in Perrie's face seemed to vanish. "He came to talk to me the other day and said that what you said about him being gay is a lie."
I stifled a chuckle and said, "Sure, yeah. "
"That's enough about Malik, I suppose. How's your love life, as you're not dating Harry Styles?"
I shrugged. "I'm not sure."
"I've seen you awful lot spending time with Louis Tomlinson. He's very good looking, you should go for him." Perrie stated, taking a bite of a lemon square.
"He's just my tutor."
"Would you rather date him or Styles?"
I rolled my eyes. "For Christ's sake, Perrie, can we talk about another matter?"
Perrie sighed. "But the answer is Styles, isn't it?"
"Jesus. I have to go anyway. I'll see you around, Perrie."
She nodded curtly. "Goodbye, Mrs. Styles."
I scoffed as I bristled out of her house.
