The Mark (on hold until further notice)

I was running through the woods dodging everything that came my way. I ran as fast as my legs could carry me. I was breathing so hard I thought my lungs were going to collapse.

All the birds left the woods after a loud blood curdling scream spread through the air. I stopped for a split second when I heard howling of wolves from miles away. I could hear the thudding of heavy wolf paws from behind me, so I picked up my pace.

When I looked forward I hit a tree root causing me to fall and roll down a hill. I rolled so fast that I couldn't grab a hold of anything. I could see a cliff, so I tried to reach out and grab something, but I was just moving too quickly. I would've fell off the cliff if it wasn't for a tree root sticking out of the edge, which I barley had time to catch.

I looked down and saw nothing but dangerous looking rocks, and fast moving water. I was debating on what to do, until I heard the growing of the wolves. My head snapped up, seeing the giant over sized beasts. They spotted me and made their way down from the tree line, and down to where I was hanging. I had no choice but to jump, I realized, hoping I would land in the water.

Just as I was about to let go, I heard my dad saying in a whisper, "Wake up, Atiana." My eyes snapped open, and I gasped out loud, falling off my bed and landing on my ass hard.

"Ouch my butt!" I whined, groaning and rubbing it as I stood up.

"Sorry princess, I didn't mean to startle you." My father chuckled, turning around and leaving my room.

"It's not funny dad!" I yelled with annoyance, going over and slamming the door shut, which only made him laugh harder.

"You might want to hurry up! Jason and Kate will be here in 15minutes!" He yelled from the bottom of the stairs. I could still hear him laughing through hid words, which only annoyed me more.

"Alright dad!" I yelled through my closed door. I get you'd like to know a little bit about me, right? My name is Atiana Harris. I'm around 5'6 slim and toned, I guess from all that running and jumping I do in track. I have dark Brown hair and honey Brown eyes and a little bit of a tan.

I decided it'd be best to take a shower, so I went to my bathroom to take a quick one, which wasn't truly my style.

After I got out, I put some eyeliner, mascara and a touch of lip gloss on, then went to straighten my hair to perfection before I got dressed. When I was done, I went to my closet and I got some navy blue jeans, a white top with a gray vest, along with my underwear as well. After slipping everything on, I went to grab my gray high top converse to match my whole outfit.

That's when I heard my dad yelling up to me. "Jason and Kate are here!"

Oh no, he's probably telling them how he woke me up and made me fall on my butt. Groaning I went to a mirror and checked myself out. All I needed were some accessories, like a necklace, earrings and a few bracelets, which I found in my wonderful jewelry box.

After I grabbed my backpack and ran downstairs, I went into the kitchen for a quick bite. As I was about to take my first bite of toast, I heard them laughing in the next room. I put it down immediately, and peeked in through the doorway.

"Then she said 'Ouch my butt!'" He tried to mimic my voice, and the way I looked when I said it, which just made everyone start laughing. We laughed so hard that no sound came out and we all held our stomachs, trying to catch our breaths. It took us a few minutes to get our breathing back to normal from all the laughing though, but we finally did.

"We need to get going, bye dad have a nice day at work." I said, kissing his cheek as I walked out the door.

"Have a nice day at school Mrs. Ouchie butt!" He laughed from inside the house.

I got into Jason's truck quickly after that because I didn't want to see my neighbors reaction. He would probably have a laughter attack after my dad tells him about the incident this morning, and I believe I've had enough embarrassment this morning.

"So what college do you girls want to go to?" Jason randomly asked, as he started the car and began driving in the direction of the school.

"Um, I don't know yet, but I want to take the summer off before I go to college." I said honestly. I wasn't prepared to just go jump into college without a bit more freedom.

"What about you?" He nudged Kate on the arm with his elbow, and she shot him a smile.

"I don't know yet it just depends on the scouts this Friday." She said, sounding a little worried. That was probably because this weekend was a big softball game, and she needed those scouts to give her a good review.

Jason and Kate have been my best friends since childhood and all through high school. Jason Williams is about 6'2" very strong and built. Some people don't believe he's 18 by the way he looks. He has blonde hair and blue eyes, with light skin. He's the football teams quarter back star, also a track star.

Kate Carter is about 5'1" is slimmed and toned from all the softball practices. She has jet black wavy hair and s perfectly tanned skin. She's the star pitcher for the softball team.

After we talked a bit more about what we wanted to do, and college, we finally got to the school parking lot. I looked up, knowing my boyfriend would be waiting for us, but what I saw made my heart clench with anger. Some blonde chick was kissing him! He immediately reacted, shoving her away with a disgusted look.

"Don't you ever try to pull that stunt again!" He yelled at the chick, anger evident in his eyes.

"I know you love me and not some ugly bitch." She purred, trying to seduce him with such ugly words.

"Oh I will show you a true bitch if you keep bothering MY boyfriend!" I growled, jumping out of Jason's truck and stomping over to them.

"I can give him what he wants and needs!" How about you Atiana?" She said with an evil smirk on her face. A smirk that made me want to punch her right in her ugly plastic surgery face.

"That's none of your concern! She has been everything I ever needed or wanted." He yelled full of anger, stepping next to me.

He put his arm around my waist and pulled me inside as I shot an evil glare at the blonde ho. She knew very well this feud wasn't over. What's sad, and kinda funny is all the girls except Kate envy me because I'm dating the star receiver of the football team.

Jacob Williams and yes Jason is his twin brother. They look the same, talk the same way, and even walk the same way. The only thing different is their eyes, Jason has green eyes while his brother has blue eyes.

One time they tried to fool Kate and I to see if we could notice the difference. Which of course, we realized right away. The fake contacts were the wrong shades of green and blue. We had decided though, to put on a sexy bra and panties show.

We thought about this ahead of time just in case. We asked them what they thought while sitting on their laps and kissing their necks. As if on cue they both scrambled out of the room yelling gross.

While kissing them we had snuck small bottles that weren't noticed in our bras. They were filled with maple syrup and we poured it down their shirts. They thought we wouldn't notice the contacts I'm sure.

We saw both boys leaving at full speed as Kate and I sat by my window, high-fiving each other and laughing. Jacob snapped me out of my memory.

"Atiana are you okay?" He asked with concern, gently rubbing my hand with his.

"Yeah, babe I'm fine why?" I asked, not looking at him.

"What she side, please ignore it. Don't give her the satisfaction of getting inside your head." He said with worry. He was probably thinking it would ruin us or something.

"Oh believe me she won't get in my head, I won't let her!" I growled, slamming my locker shut.

"That's my girl!" He said with a smile and pulled me into a tight hug. "I'll be waiting for you here after class. I love you." He whispered while hugging and kissing me like if it was going to be our last.

"I love you too and be good in class." I said, wiggling my way out of his arms and making my way to my English class.
