No. Don't look back. Never look back. You aren't going that way. Just forward. Who am I kidding? I glanced behind me, my fin flipping wildly. It was still chasing me. I darted up, hoping to lose it. Poor creature didn't know any better than to keep chasing nothing. I swam up to the surface, breathing air. I pulled my fin up onto a rock. I took a breath. Krakons get soo annoying. I was just going up to my mates house, but noooo the Krakon can't let that happen. I didn't know where I was. Stranded in the middle of nowhere, I tried to make out my surroundings. I saw a cave a good mile away. I swam over, slowly, trying not to lose more breath. Humans were less likely to see me in a cave. Yes. Smart idea... Oh no. What would my mum think? Oh gods. What have I done. I pulled out my compass from my bag. Now this was no ordinary, mortal, compass. It was magic. I wished I could do magic like that. Then I could make my own. But this compass always pointed home. To Coralle city. I started off when I heard a tiny pebble skid across the cave floor. I then realized I wasn't the only one there. And not only was I not alone, I had run into a human. I almost screamed. My dad was going to kill me!
