"Can you believe that bitchy skank of Jessica told me I wasn't a good enough girlfriend to Aaron? Who does she think she is?" Paige snarled and I only rolled my eyes. How typical of Paige to feel easily insulted when Jessica only told her that it wasn't right of her to lead Aaron on if she wasn't going to give him a chance.
"I'm sure she didn't mean it like that, Paige. She was just looking out for her brother."
"Well she can go fuck off. If I want to fuck with Aaron then I will. And she's no one to tell me what to do," She hissed as she threw her purse in her car as I stood outside the passenger side, waiting for her to unlock the door and stop with her tantrum.
"Last I checked, you and Aaron weren't dating, Paige," I sighed. "Therefore, you shouldn't be getting all defensive as if you actually were his girlfriend."
"Who's side are you on?" She shouted. "Because right now, you're on her fucking side."
I laughed, as I made my way towards her, going around the front of her car. "I'm on no ones side."
She crossed her arms over her chest, perhaps feeling a bit uncomfortable with what she was going to say next. "I really like him, Abbie. Sure, I mess around with him but that doesn't mean I don't care about him. Jessica just thinks of me as a horrible cold-blooded bitch, which I admit, I kinda am but I do care about Aaron. Like sincerely."
I smiled up at her. "Then why don't you tell him that instead of me."
"I can't," She sighed and looked away. I tried to searched for her eyes once more but she was facing away from me and I couldn't get a good look at them. By the way she was rubbing her arms, I knew there was something wrong; something she didn't like.
"And why can't you?"
"Because Gabi is really in love with him. I can't do that to her. She's a good person and I most certainly cannot break their perfect relationship."
"You mean friendship. They're not together."
"Doesn't look like it to me," She pressed her lips together. It didn't surprise me that she was spying on them because If I was her, I'd probably do the same thing. And I'm more than sure my feelings would take control of me and I'd end up feeling hopeless. That is if I loved the guy.
"You think he's in love with her?" I suddenly asked, a smile playing on my lips which only caused Paige to frown at me. "I mean, he's been all over you lately. He wouldn't be doing that if he loved Gabi."
"Did you hear me or did you not?" She snapped and I raised my hands in a surrender manner. "I wouldn't want to hurt her or anyone."
"Talk to her."
"It's so easy for you to say since you don't have someone all over the guy you crush on," She glared at me and my eyebrows went up.
"Well, of course not," I smiled. "I don't have a crush."
"The hell you don't," She rolled her eyes. "It's obvious who it is."
"Who may that be?"
"Well, it's Ray, of course."
My heart began to race and my throat dried. How would she know anyway? She had no proof. I coughed and raised an eyebrow. "What makes you so sure?"
"The fact that you blushed when I said his name just now."
I scowled at her response, surprised that she saw that when I hadn't noticed such a thing. "I do not blush."
