Chapter 2
The Beginning
“It started with something so simple. A melody. A song. A word. The words so eloquent. So peaceful. And so right. Leaving you speechless beyond comprehension.
Leaving you with a feeling that is something never felt. And this something, no matter how crazy it sounds, releases vast tension.
For it’s the start of something beautiful. And for once, you feel complete. And you’d do anything to find this feeling everywhere.”
“To feel it in your bones, and feel it when you go to sleep. To see it in your dreams. See it in your future, and see it in between you and me.
Now it’s all that you want. And you’d look for it in the hopeless of places. Only this can give you your own personal release.
You’ve become addicted to its presence. You’d become numb without it. Even when things aren’t right, there is no care to give.”
“Telling yourself that things are well, fooling yourself out of purity. Contaminating you heart, and clouding your mind,
You ignore your true emotions. Thinking of only the present. Not thinking of your future. And remembering your past.
Now you’re full of regret. Taking notice of your ways. Wishing the past would just go away. Life isn’t easy.”
“You’re withering away. Withering into nothing. Filled with emptiness and despair. Thinking pessimistically.
You’ve given up. You’ve lost hope. There’s no longer a drive. You eat you pain away. All else just grows even more dense,
Like a vine in your heart. Pronging at your aches and weaknesses until there is only one drop left.
And you become forgotten. Faded in the memories of the past.
