None of them expected this was going to happen, as for they both lived happily together.

They met a few years ago, back when they were still studying at their university. At their first glance at each other, they knew it was love like nothing else. They started dating a few months later, eventually starting a relationship. They introduced each other to their families. Accepted and loved, they knew they were the one.

Graduation came and everything became much better. They moved into one house, knowing they will last forever. They had their jobs and started getting successful. Everything was fine,

Until one day.

The man came home drunk with a different lady by his side. The woman, enraged, started throwing different utensils ranging from knives to plates. It was a disaster for the both of them.

The lady, who came home with the man, ran while crying due to being hit with a fork on the head.

Still not his usual self, the man tried to reason and explain to the woman. The woman had no intention in listening. Her eyes was red and sore from crying.

The man didn't give up on explaining as he just realized he made a mistake.

Moments later, the woman stood, turning her back to the man. She reached for the door and ran away.

The man tried to follow, his legs trembling while his vision is a blur, failing miserably due to being drunk.

It has been a month with no communication at each other. The man, tried to called her and they decided to meet.

And there they are.

Two figures, stood beside the restaurant where they first dated. Apparently, it was close.

The rain, hitting hard on their faces, did not bother the couple. Both were dripping wet, making it hard to notice the tears trickling on their faces.

The man looks very different to what he used to look like. His face was sunken due to lesser food and sleep he had. His arms were covered with scars which came from the knife the woman tried to hit him. Thin and pale, the man looks like he's about to fall any moment now.

The woman, on the other hand, is very similar to the man. Her hair's laid back carelessly. She has dark circles below her eyes.

"Why did you do that?" It was the first thing that came out of her mouth. "I trusted you, Ronnie." Her voice almost cracked.

"I already told you, I came there for a drink, nothing but a drink." The man named Ronnie reached for her hand, but she dodged it. "She drugged my drink when I wasn't looking. I told you that a lot of times, Elisse."

Ronnie expected the woman, Elisse, to forgive him after what he said. The problem was, Elisse looks like she wasn't even listening at him at all.

"You broke my trust." Said Elisse.

"Haven't I explained it to you again, and again?" asked Ronnie, with annoy in his voice.

"You cheated on me."

"For the last time, it was not my fault. I'm sorry, okay?" Ronnie started to get angry at Elisse. He had mix emotions, both anger and sadness.

"Sorry can't change anything. Sorry can't replace trust. Do you even understand that?"

Ronnie's pale face started to turn red.

"You know what? I'm sick of your nonsense. I've been trying to understand you for years. And for years, I've been with you because of our promise. I can't break our promise. But I think I should've broke up with you years ago."

Angry and broken, he punched the wall beside him. Blood flew from his knuckles, with the rain washing the blood off his hand immediately.
