As it is diwali..... we had puja. Guests have also arrived.

Aaryan was looking good in his tux.

All the elders started talking , while eating dinner.

They didn't asked anything to us, which is a relief for us.

Aditya haven't came. I think he was still avoiding me.

After the dinner, Aaryan and I looked devastated. We are not at all intrested in listening to business nor any gossips.

So we excused ourselves and sat on the couch.

We both started talking.

Aaryan can I ask you something?I asked .

So you don't believe in love or marriage huh!

He looked away from me.

Yeah. You're correct, he said sternly.

I heard Aditya's voice .

When I saw him, he rolled his eyes looking at me.

I kept on staring at him ...

Uh- hmm... "Welcome to the earth" aditi!

What are you constantly staring at? Huh!! Wait, lemme get this straight. Is that the boy you are in love with?

What... no..!! I stammered.

Okay then! I will ask him precisely.

I was silent for a while.

Aaryan come here.... called his dad.

He is Aditya singhania.... they both introduced themselves.

It's time for them to leave.

We all bid good bye.... while Aaryan caught my hand and pulled me into a hug .

I was totally surprised by his sudden move.

I quickly jerked him and saw that no one are around us.....

Uh ..ohhh Aditya was coming near to us and still Aaryan is holding my hands.

"Bye sweetheart"! I'll call you when I get to home! Said Aaryan with his trademark smirk glancing me and Aditya.

What the heck he had did!! That too before Aditya!

Addy looked me in disbelief and went out.

After few minutes, my phone started ringing from some random number.

Hello! Who is it?

It's me sweetheart , Aaryan . You haven't saved my number. So bad?

God!! Aaryan why did you do that? Addy was right beside me. Do you have any idea of what he could have thought about me? I yelled .

Cool baby! I was just playing.

See, by this your Addy will be jealous. Isn't this a great idea?

No ! No Aaryan. It's a stupid one. He won't be jealous. Instead I will look like shit in his eyes now. I don't want him to think like that.

Get lost. I'm just trying to help you, he faked crying.

If you wanna help me, then cancel this proposal. Don't worsen it more?

I have to talk to Aditya tomorrow.

Next day morning, I went to Addy's home.

Hi Aunty, where is Addy? I sounded normal.

Uh....how come you aren't coming to home ? What happened?

No aunty. This college stuff I'm going through,made me so busy I lied to her.

He is in his room beta , you go upstairs.

Thanks aunty....

I will make your chocolate milkshake so come down afterwards , she yelled.

I smiled to her and went to his room.

I waited outside the door. Trying to knock it . I'm feeling very nervous.

I haven't experienced this much nervousness and hesitation before.

Finally , I gathered all my courage and knocked the door.

"Yeah come in", he said.

He didn't knew that I was here, as he is facing his back towards me. He is doing his work.. so his eyes are fixed at the laptop screen.

Uh - hmm , Hi addy!

He instantly turned to me.

Whar are you doing here?

Is he really angry that on me?

Addy I just came here to apologise to you. I know , I made you upset. I'm so sorry. Please can you stop behaving like I don't exsist to you.

You are avoiding me since many months.... I was cut by him..

What should I do then? There is nothing left to talk. Now you can go!

Addy, please stop it. Don't you want to talk to me ever?

I mean, our friendship is at to an end.

Yes aditi. It's a good desicion. After this we can never be friends . You have your life and I had my own. So move on with it.

Shut up Aditi. You need to leave now...and now onwards we don't interfere in each other's lives, he turned back without facing me.

As tears were uncontrollably..... flowing. I left.
