Recap:
When we reach the hotel I am guided up to the suite of the hotel. I run to the window and take a chair with me, and I just enjoy the view. Rick walks in with a frown on his face.
"Hey Rick, whats up?" I ask
"We got a phone call today" he says
"Ok from who?"
Rick physically gulps. His adam's apple bobs up and down. His voice is shaky when he speaks "Your father."

I am sitting in the chair behind the curtains of the studio while they are putting on my make-up. I am about to be interviewed on the Today Show. This is my second time on the show, and the first time was when I had just come out with my very first album. Wow, I think to myself. I really have grown up. Time really flies by when you are having the time of your life. The stage manager comes to my make-up station and says that I have 2 minuets. I thank him and go and stand my Rick by the curtain in the studio.
"Are you nervous?" Rick asks me.
"No." I reply
"Listen, about last night Cassidy..."
"No, Rick. I don't want to talk about it, please just drop it." I snap.
He sighs and says "Ok, but we need to talk about it soon"
I think back to last night...
"Excuse me?" I say. " I don't think I heard you correctly"
"Oh, Cass, you did" Rick replies
I can feel myself go pale as I think of the last time I ever heard from my father.
FLASHBACK
It was a regular school day. I had just been picked up by my mom. I was only in middle school when this happened. My mom and I stopped at the house to change out of my school uniform, and into jeans, a white blouse with floral designs on it and ankle grey heel boots. My mom and I were heading out to the mall. My mom and I were really close and I could trust her with everything. She was my best friend. My shoulder to cry on, my place to go to in the middle of the night during storms. She was my rock. My dad and I have never really gotten along. We have never really had any father-daughter time together because he was always working. My dad is the owner and the CEO of Magnetite Corporations located in the beautiful city of Boston.Yes, it might sound lame but we are the company that sells all of the magnets that you see in stores. I always thought that my father was a cold-hearted devil with no soul. I was always right about that. My mom and I had spent all of the Fridays' afternoon on the mall, going to all of the of the new stores that they had. After that we went out to a small pizza place that sells the best pizza in Boston. In my opinion. My mother and I talked about everything from school to today's fashion choices to the newest celebrities. I had always wanted to be a singer and actress. That was always my dream ever since I saw the movie Beauty and the Beast. Don't ask me why, but ever since that movie, singing and acting was my dream. I was in my school's theatre and drama clubs and performances and in the school's choir. After we had paid out bill, we got inside of the car. On the radio they were playing Katy Perry's new song, Teenage Dream. My mother and I look at each other and we smile. We both sing along to the song. When we arrive home, we see another car inside the garage. My mother and I both shrug and think that its on of my dad's friend's car. He always had time for his friends but never for his family. My mom and I gather out bags from the backseat and walk inside of the house. My mother goes into the kitchen to make some coffee for herself. I walk to my room and start unpacking my bags, when I hear a really loud moan coming from my parents' room. I just shrug my shoulder and and don't think anything about it. Then I hear another moan, and some bangs on the wall. I furrow my eyebrows and go and see what's making all of that noise. When I open the bedroom door, I see my father and some red-headed slut are going at in my parent's bedroom. I gasp really loudly and they both turn around. My father sees me and pales and pushes the girl off of him and starts to get up and make his way to me.
"Cassie, i-i-it's.. its's not what you think..." he says. Then I hear my mother coming up the stairs and my dad starts to panic. I am just standing there in shock and I am frozen. I can't move. I can't think of anything execpt for the fact that my father was cheating on my mom. I hear my mom stand behind me.
"Hey, Robert, what's going on he..." She stops mid-sentence and see that my father is just in his boxers and that the red-headed slut is only in her bra and panties.
"Rob, Rob, what's going on here" she starts to cry. My father comes towards her, while rubbing his hand through his hair.
"Mary.."
"STOP!!!" she screams. She is shaking and tears are flowing down her face. My father tries to take another step towards her and she holds her hand up and takes another step away from him "STOP! DON'T EVER COME NEAR ME AGAIN. I CAN'T BELEIVE YOU, YOU CHEATING BASTARD! HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO ME, TO OUR DAUGHTER." she roars. I can feel my checks wet from the tears. She turns to me and says in a soft, quiet voice, eyes soft "Go pack you backs, baby. We're leaving. Tonight." I nod my head and turn and run to my room and take out my bags. All the time I am packing my heart breaks more and more for my mom. My strong, beautiful mom. I can't belevie him, I think to myself. Once my bags are all packed I see my mom standing by the doorway, bags in her hand and money in her other.
" Come on baby, we have a plane to catch." I nod my head and we put all of our bags in the back. My mom walks back into the house with me in tow, and says to my father there in the kitchen with the slut standing next to him.
"I'll contact you for the rest of out belongins and I will see you in the courts."
"The courts?" he asks confused.
"Yes, where we will be getting a divorce. I'll send the paperwork as soon as I can. Goodbye Robert."
With that we walk out of the house without a glance back, go to the airport and come to LA.
