« the kid »
The crunching and grinding of gravel awoke me. It was dark, but I could still see the mans face. He was holding me in his arms ever so gently. He looked down at me and I quickly shut my eyes. Where is he taking me? I wondered. Okay I can either let him take me to where he's going, jump out of his arms attack him or ask him nicely. I voted see wheres taking me because I have no energy at all.

We arrived at a sanctuary type thing, walls all around a town. Interesting... "Hey Sasha open the gate will yah?" The man yelled. "Daryl be quiet you now that walkers will be all over this place if you keep being loud" the girl replied. After a few minutes the gate opened up and he walked in with me still in his arms. The girl walked over to me and I closed my eyes. "Whatcha got there?" She asked poking my arm.
"Poor girl was all lone out there in the woods. Besides Aaron said we need to start bringing in more people plus shes just a kid." I felt the man start walking again and that was my que to squint my eyes to see where he's taking me. He let go of me with one hand to open a door.
Where am I going? I wondered... "Guys I got something for you." He says as he dropped me on the couch. I heard the stair creaking as many footsteps made their way the couch. "What the hell daryl?" Someone asked.
"She needed help, do what you want with her but let her wake up so we can talk to her first alright?" He said loudly.
"Alright fine but someone needs to be down here to keep watch on her."
I heard someone sit down on a creaky chair. "I'll do it." They said. "Alright carl." The man said. As they all started walking back upstairs someone turned the light off and it was dark again.

About an hour later...
I opened my eyes after waiting for it to be silent. I sat up on the chair and looked at "carl" the one who was watching me, to my surprise he was sleeping. I walked over to him and took his knife from his hands... He flinched a little but he still slept. This man wasn't a man at all he was just a kid like me, probably about 17 or so little younger than me but maybe I'm wrong. I opened the front door and bolted out in the world again. I looked around and I was surrounded by houses and buildings that were then surrounded by a huge fence. I want to live here. "Who am I kidding" I said "I need this place." I turned around and walked back into the house an sat down on the couch.

About ten minutes later...

I have been sitting on this lumpy couch waiting for this kid to wake up. Finally he opened his eyes and pulled his knife out. "Hello I'm carl I'm not going to hurt you." He said lowering his knife. "The names Marley and I know you not going to hurt me I was awake the whole time just faking." I smiled. "I've been awake quite awhile" I added.
"Surprised you didn't run." He said smirking awkwardly. "mmhm." I said bashfully. He stood up and walked over to the couch and sat next to me. "whats your name?" He asked quietly "Marley Johnson. But my friends call me mj."
"Mj.. Thats a cool name. Im carl, but my friends call me carl." He laughed. I didn't find it funny which made it kinda awkward. "okay.." I said. I stood up and opened the door. "Where you going?" He asked "eh I just want to look around." I smiled "I can't let you do that yet" he said "oh my god why not?" I frowned "because my dad needs to meet you and ask you some questions." I sighed sitting back on the couch. "Whatever I'll just wait.."
