Another day of working in Phantomhive manor, you stretch your arms thinking how you were lucky to work here.If your master Ciel Phantomhive wouldn't of taken you in you would of been dead by now. Now here's the time to tell your life story.
You were born into a wealthy family, your parents were very kind people who would try to raise you as a respectful young girl. They may of been healthy but they refused to spoil you. They thought spoiling would make you disrespectful and that you would expect things you didn't deserve, so instead your parents treated you like a normal child buying you a few extra gifts here and there but other then that you were treated like any other well treated child. This all changed when you turned 11.Y our father went to work one night and the next morning a knock was heard on your door. Your father had been targeted and shot once through his forehead. He had been targeted though no one ever figured out why. Your father never made any shady business deals or crossed anyone. He was a very honest man.
"I don't understand! Why would someone do this?" Your mother told you that dreadful night.
"I don't know why mommy, I'm really sorry. I miss daddy." You said. Finishing the sentence your lip began to quiver and you began to cry into your mother's nightgown.
"Now now, (Y/N) don't cry, it won't help either of us, we will have to brave this on our own (Y/N)." Your mother said, looking into her eyes you saw how she was holding back her own tears for your sake.
Out of the woodworks a man came. He said his name was Callinger Hansen. He kissed your mother's hand and before you knew it this odd man and your mother had been married. You thought the man would be a good man but you learned you were wrong. The man married your mother to receive you late father's health. He treated you as if you were worthless. If he wasn't acting like you weren't there you could expect to be hit across the face for speaking out of line. You absolutely despised Callinger, your mother hated him as much as you did but she couldn't divorce him, if she did he would he would take all your late father's hard earned money.
You woke up one day to see your mother dead, a dagger stabbed through her heart and all your father's money gone. You were the age of fifteen when this happened and a young boy about thirteen with a butler investigated the crime on the Queen's orders. The boy gave you an ultimatum, work for him and receive shelter and a check or to continue living on your own with no family left to care for you. You choose to work for the boy. You were now a Maud to Ciel Phantomhive. The butler Sebastian trained you as not only a made but as a great fighter he taught you how to fight hand to hand and how to fight with knives, whips and daggers and hand guns. You were made aware of your master Ciel's situation in which many would try to kill him off, which is why you were hired in and trained instead of Ciel leaving you to rot on the streets, knowing now with your mother and money gone you would have no way to suffice for yourself. Since The day if your mother's death you haven't been able to smile a true smile, you'd only fake a smile in the presence of a guest in the manor and that was all and the closest thing to a smile you could manage.
Thinking about all that happened makes you shudder at the terrible memories. You put in your matching maid uniform to Mey-Rins and headed to the kitchen. Every morning you would help Bardroy prepare breakfast and Sebastian would usually have to come and fix it for you two.The rest of the day you would spend working with Finny in the garden. You two would plant flowers and water them and give the flowers the nutrition they needed with plant food. You and Finny had become close friends since you began to working at the manor. You loved Ginny's bright eyes. You and Finny were very close in age.
When you first came here you were very shy and timid and very scared about meeting new people. Finny welcomed you warmly right away and offered you friendship. He told you of his terrible past and you told him about your's. Hearing how Ginny had been experimented on and how up-loved he had felt made you cry.It also made you wonder about how Finny always seemed to manage to stay cheerful and upbeat when his past had been as terrible as yours and in your opinion worse. You decided to ask Finny this one day.
"Finny, how do you stay so happy and cheerful? After all you've been through I would think you would act more like me. How do you and the others manage to be so happy after all the pain you've been through? How do you manage to still smile?" You asked Finny, your hair covering your face you felt as if you might if offended Finny by asking him those things but Finny remained his usual self and answered you.
"Well I never knew love and had a relatively bad or a terrible life before I came here, so when Mister Sebastian found me, I was happy to have a place to call home, I know that master Ciel didn't just take me in for my strength in his own way he took in those who had bad pasts so they would be like his family. Master Ciel doesn't realize it but all his servants do.I realize it, Snake realizes it, Bardroy realizes it and so does Mey-Rin. I don't think you understand it yet (Y/N) but now that you're here you're apart of our odd family master Ciel and mister Sebastian have made.Thats why we all can smile, (Y/N) we may not have our blood family but we know we have our own family that master Ciel made and mister Sebastian helped gather and form." Finny said a smile on his face and his beautiful Bluish-Grey eyes glimmering in the sun light. He looked at you and said "I'll help you learn to smile again.You're family to me and I want you to smile again. You deserve happiness like all of us do. I want to see your real smile not the fake one you show guests. I care about you and I love you because your my family (Y/N)." Finny told you moving your hair gently from your face as if afraid to hurt you, and he tilted your head up to look into your (E/C) eye's."I won't give up until I see a true smile on your face again (Y/N) I promise." Finny said and he hugged you gently afraid his strength would get the better of him and he would crush you. You hugged back and began Crying into his shoulder.
"Please don't cry, I didn't mean to make you upset."Finny said pulling away from your hug looking as if he was going to cry.
"Finny I'm not crying because I'm upset..." you said looking into his eyes a smile on your face. "I'm crying because you managed to make me smile a true smile." You told Finny.
"I'm happy I was able to make you smile again (Y/N), all I wanted was for you to smile since you came here." Finny whispered in your ear. Finny kissed your cheek gently before saying, "Please keep that smile on your face, it suits you more then your frown." Finny said before pulling away from you.
"Thank you Finny. You truly are my family." You whispered to yourself as you and Finny went back to working in the garden your smile remained on your face the entire day.
