prologue

AUTHOR'S NOTE; 

                 Heyyyy guys, hope you all are doing so well. I know i haven't published a new chapter since a looooooooooong time ago, i was busy with school exams then uni as well and life in general (ha ha ha) that i really became lazy af to finish it, but guess what? I really am gonna try to write new chapters and publish them, i need support though =) Anyways guys enjoyyyy, i'll be editing a few chapters first.

  I opened one eye to check the time on my nightstand. It was 2 in the morning.

      What the hell .
  Wow.......I always wake up at 2.What is their special about 2 am?
Ugh...just sleep.

         I closed my eyes immediately after checking the time. No sleep was on the way for me to catch. So I pulled the covers off of me and went directly to the kitchen and opened the fridge which was behind the island. I poured apple juice in a cup. Actually I found that cup lonely on the counter gesturing for any one to use it to join the other dirty ones on the sink.

       I heard movement and footsteps in the living room behind me. I put the cup on the island and turned towards the sound. What caught my eye was a dark shadow of a thing actually two things far away from where I'm standing. I couldn't see it clearly since the only source of light was the fridge which was still open.

      I looked again to the living room since it was where the sound was coming from, but the figure wasn't there. My heart started pounding in an irregular rhythm as if I ran 3 miles in 2 minutes. 

5 miles in 2 minutes? really??!! 

uggghh not you again, i can't be talking to myself again, for god's sake when will you leave me the hell alone. 

NEVERRRR

"ok stop is Cam, just focus we'll deal with it later" i said lowly to myself

             I could hear my heartbeat in my eardrums as if the silence was blanketing the whole place. My hands started shaking and I felt light headed. I was in lack of air since my mind was working on another issue.

"HELLO.......IS THERE ANYONE IN HERE" I said raising my voice at the end. I then waited impatiently for a reply or any sign of movement but nothing actually happened. I started backing out trying my best to not get caught and hoping I could reach my bedroom safely. Just a few steps and i'll be safe, my mind told me.

"Hello dear.........long time no see .......how are you? "I heard a husky-raspy-deep-manly voice coming from behind me.

    I stopped in my tracks. I was sure my whole body turned pale by now because of fear. I couldn't move from my spot nor make a sound. I was breathing heavily as if the asthma attack returned. I knew who he was. How can i not though? He was basically the one who ripped me from my innocent life. I didn't have a normal life like others, on the contrary mine was extraordinary. This man basically was the one who showed me the ugly side of life. The dark side to be precise. The side which shows no mercy or humanity whatsoever. I was shaking as hell as if someone poured icy water all over me.

     "w-what are y-you doing h-h-here" the words came out of my mouth without paying any attention to them. I regretted them though, i really did. 
   
     Rule#1 don't ask me what I'm doing here or why I'm doing it.

     I remembered him telling me the rules of his own game. The game that changed my life forever and it was before my mom got kidnapped. I knew he was him who kidnapped her, I just felt it. I started backing away as he was coming towards me. But my back hit the wall behind me and I gulped, just my luck. I never was a lucky person in my life. I switched on the lights immediately since they were near me. What got me out of my mind was what I saw in front of me. Tears slipped down my face as I choked the words that I thought I won't use again in my life.
