Chapter 9 The Asking

Hayes' Pov

We finally got to her place and She ran upstairs to change into her swimsuit. I changed in the guest room because I didn't want to keep her waiting. She went out to tan while I put on "tanning oil" which is what she thought. But I was really getting the roses and a poster that says "I may own the field but you could own my heart will you be my girlfriend?"

I walked out and she was in the pool standing in the middle. I held the roses and the poster and then all of a sudden I fell to the ground..... she tackled me.

"Yes I'll be your girlfriend Hayes."
I slipped a promise ring on her finger and gave her the roses and poster and she took them in and put the roses in a vase on the table. She came back out and got in the water.

I didn't get in. I've haven't swam in 3 years and I didn't know if I would still be able to. I sat on the edge trying not to shake. She did some tricks and what not while I sat and watched hiding my fear and anxiety.

She then looked at my stomach... shit I forgot to cover up my cuts... she made her way over and........
