After getting treated for the head wound, I was held in a prison cell for about a week. My aunt visited me, you see my parents had died a long time ago so she was all I had left, and my lawyer had had a chat with me. Apparently they hadn't found any incriminating evidence against Brad and I was the sole suspect. A few days later my trial had begun and after a while it didn't seem good, seeing the look on my lawyers face I could tell that things weren't that good. It was the final day and the judge was about to make her verdict when a man walked in. He was tall and tan and had a sleek black suit with combed back, jet black hair. He smiled at the judge and walked up to her and, after talking for a while and sharing a couple laughs with the judge, took a step back and then went to take a seat.
"Ok," the judge said, turning to me, "now Mr. Harlan it seems that my good friend here, Mr. Vivian, seems to have a foster home for troubled kids like you and has offered to take you into his home rather than see you behind bars." She explained, I heard my lawyer take in a deep breath and saw him lean forward. "Now, since he is such a good friend, I am going to extend this offer towards you and give you the choice: prison... Or a foster home?" I blinked and shook my head, amazed at how lucky things had seemed to turn. I eventually realized she was waiting for my answer and finally spoke out.
"Uhm, f- foster home." I awkwardly croaked.
"Ok, then it is settled, Mr. Harlan will live in the custody of Mr. Vivian until Mr. Vivian has found that you are fit for society." She banged her gavel and stood up. "Court dismissed." My lawyer laughed and clapped his hands.
"You don't know how lucky you are!" He laughed, I smiled and nodded my head but quickly felt like I was being stared at. I turned my head and looked around to see Mr. Dimeon staring intently at me. I gulped and began to feel goosebumps when my lawyer grabbed me by the shoulders and shook me.
"Your in the safe area man! You did it!" He screamed, a smile painted on his face. Little did he know that I was far from the safe area.
